Power Extraction bug?

In Cyrodiil, doing those little "kill 10 daggers/grey/shadow/goblins".
If I use Power Extraction to actually end their lives with it's life drain (a favorite lazy trash execute), I do not receive the credit for the kill.
If I melee them, or whatever, then I do.
I've experimented with this all over Cyrodiil now and I assume if it doesn't register for NPC's, perhaps wouldn't for Pvp either?
It's not a big deal, but it's certainly not right.
