Returning player no horse

Hello everyone, I am a returning player and when I originally purchased the game it came with a free horse to new characters. I seem to be missing that option now. I upgraded to ESO PLUS (monthly membership) Am I doing it correctly by just going to the stables?

    Check collections tab in your UI, horses, costumes and pets and other shizzle is there now, and then you can set w/e horse you want to active.

    You can still feed the horse via Crown Store or stables also.
    Once I was a lamb, playing in a green field. Then the wolves came. Now I am an eagle and I fly in a different universe.

    If you purchased the Imperial Edition, you would have gotten a horse for 1g. No horse was ever free. If you did buy that horse, it will be located in your collectibles tab, that's where you can choose which mount you own, to ride.
