damn sorc pets ;)

I started a magicka NB. Love it so far, but I realize now that I am addicted to the sorc pets. I guess this goes back to my DAOC days when it first came out. I was about the only cabalist. Their pets were buggy and one of them would root itself during combat. I like sorc pets, but don't like the crystal frag proc play style. I may have to see if there is a dps build that isn't centered around frags.

Careful of the Clanfear pet, the damn thing has a tendency to run off and attack it's own targets when it's in a funny mood

It's nowhere near the same, but nightblades get to summon shades!!! Later... That do low damage...

The whole point with the shades is that they reduce the incoming damage. Unfortunately the two shades always seem to attack the same target.. Honestly, I love my Nightblade, but if the Daedra I used to summon were actually any good I'd go back to Sorceror in a heartbeat.

You realize you summon them to attack your target right? So they will never split up.

I too am addicted to Pets. I just feel so alone without them now.

There are viable pets out there, I use them more for their passive effects and the dps is second (even though their dps is comparable to liquid lightning)

I'm super happy with my Pet build, plus playing with a few other Sorcs can mean 10 members (lol did a run with two other Pet sorcs, they were dps) it was cool that like everything got a 1 on 1 match u with adds.

Anyway, you can still have a pet build with a C.Frag style, just not as many offensive abilities.

Anyway, you can still have a pet build with a C.Frag style, just not as many offensive abilities.

I know, he loves his pets. I've been playing a pet build either and still use one of them sometimes.
But the twilight is not worth loosing 2 slots, not enough damage and you need the trashy daedric curse morph in order for it to even tease targets.

Not worth it. The clannfear is okay

well it wouldnt really be a pet build when u run one of the pets with a 3 second curse like u say... i'd say its a half assed one, now it is true about how the damage got nerfed, but i am still doing fine tbh with both pets, i tried replacing the flying one with force pulse(crushing shock) but it just felt wrong tbh, and i guess that is due to me not used to combing two builds into one, cus ive never used force pulse in a build that involved pets before. Either ways, to every one there own, and thats what i think, and tbh the reason im more encouraged to play this build in this patch is, because u have to only use the curse now, and not empowered ward as well... makes stuff easier/simpler, cus of the shield nerf u know

Restoring Twilight, its DPS is roughly 1000, which is the dps for liquid lightning (the highest dps sorc move per efficiency) so as an AoE its dps isn't too bad. 10% magicka regen, that I really like, a pre battle cost (woot dps and regen with no cost) and a body.

We all know the effectiveness of pets in PvE so I'll focus on twilight for PvP.

Resource management is the name of the game, a costless dps that of Liquid Lightning is nice but the regen is really nice.

Now is it right for all builds, absolutely not. For me however, its perfect, I am busy with my shattering prison, liquid lightning, dark conversion, Frag with weave and hardened ward. A pet that sits there annoying my opponent while im busy out lasting my opponent's resources is best.

Also that Daedric Prey is silly. It ONLY out DPS's vicious curse IF all 3 Pets are out and attacking for the full amount of time. Completely situational, esp for the barely more damage. Its a gimic i say! Would be playable if it had a 75% to 100% damage increase.

Under powered... probably for many many builds. Dps comes to mind, a dps shouldn't run Twilight.

In that case, you will be happy to know that they are supposed to be immortal in the Maelstrom Arena. Yesterday, Rich said they cant be killed in there...........
