Siphoning Vampire Nightblade - Dunmer or Imperial?

Hi, I need your help 
As title says, i'd like to play a Vampire Nightblade that is tanky (so heavy armor) and leech health most superior.
So for even more leech i would take dual wield (first weapon slot, for Blood Craze) and for tankiness one hand and shield. Entropy from the mages guild and Drain Essence from the vampire tree as well Devouring Swarm or Soul Siphon.
Heavy Armor for increased healing rate and life.
This two races have differences:
1) Dunmer is very nice for the magicka and stamina bonusses, and to weaken the incoming fire damage too.
2) Imperial have more health and stamina and have the passive Red Diamond. Imho, Red Diamond is not that good for other classes or speccs, but it's a nice addition for self heal I think ... but i don't really know how good it will complement this build. This is why I ask you
So what is the better choice in your opinion? Dunmer to lessen the Vampire weakness, or Imperial for even more self heal?

It's helpful if you use a S&B to tank and 1% magicka isn't going to break a build. Also breton don't get spell penetration.PS4 | NA | l3igTyme
