Value of Nerien'eth Helm

Does anyone have an idea of how much spell damage equivalent the Nerien'eth helm provides. I am trying to figure out gear sets for a couple of characters for magicka DPS and trying to figure out whether to us it. For example here were my ideas (all WP Jewelry of course):
Staff:
5 Kragnac
2 Nerien
Staff
versus
5 Mangus
2 Torq
1 Molag Kena shoulder
Krag has +225ish spell damage, + Max Magicka, + Magicka Regen + Max Health (twice)
Mangus has + 372 ish spell damage, + Max Magicka, + Magicka Regen, 8% chance to negate spell cost
Dual Swords
5 Kragnac
2 Nerien
2 Torq
Versus
4 Mangus
4 Mara
1 Molag Kena
Krag has +349ish spell damage, + Max Magicka, + Magicka Regen + Max Health (twice)
Mangus has + 372 ish spell damage, + Max Magicka (twice), + Magicka Regen (twice)
It is hard to tell if it is worth giving up that much spell damage for the helm. It is nice when it goes off, but I am not sure it is really efficient (MOB moves, MOB dies before it detonates, etc.) Additionally, the non-helm builds have better sustain built in.
Any thoughts?
