These Loading Screens....

Make playing this game unbearable. It's getting to the point I'm playing *other* games on my computer while waiting on loading screens in ESO.

Is there anything coming along to fix this or is this another annoyance we're going to have to suffer through like weapon swap, lag, exploits etc.

I had to swap to my EP and then travel to the rift and then travel to the Earth Forge and then travel back and then log back into my AD. So many load screens. I could barely stand it.

I haven't even been logging for my hireling mails. The free stuff isn't worth losing the little playing time I have.

Yeah another horrible mechanic that still hasn't been fixed in 2 years...

Same for me, It takes everything in me just to log into the alts I do crafting writs on, I have all the mats just need to log in, make them and log out but them screens....

I want hireling 4/4 where I give them deposit access to my bank and they send the materials twice a day without requiring me to log in. I don't care if you need 50 in each craft and there is a quest to solo a dragon before you can unlock it. I just dont want to spend 30+ minutes a day logging and and out to get something that might be good but most probably will be junk. This could be done in a more time convenient way, so I can enjoy pvp or whatever else that isn't an administrative task.

Hell I would pay crowns for a executive assistant to check my mail for me (like I do in real life).

Have you tried playing elevator music while in the load screens? You know, for the immurshuns?

Let alone playing my main, I do a lot of bag-alt switching and the load screens are ridiculous. I've started to surf the forums/web during the loading or walk away and do chores/whatnot. Sometimes even when my character has loaded she can't use any skills for several seconds because apparently they're not done loading yet..

On a related note, I increased my LUA memory and it looks like the load screens are shorter. Not sure if one has to do with the other, but the link is here to show you how to do it:

I'd eat another 30 seconds on my loading screen if they fixed that damn weapon swap delay crap that gets me killed 90% of the times I die.

Yeah I've taken to playing Hearthstone in between loads but there are just so many....

I was trying to go to memorial districts so I could go to the sewers last night....game kicked me after a forever loading screen. I logged back in back where I started at the memorial districts ladder in my home base, thought about the 2 more loading screens ahead of me and said F it and went to bed instead.

I tab out and do a variety of other things during load screens now. Hint for ZOS here. Encouraging your players to step away from your game is NOT a good thing for business. Fix the load screens.

I swear if Osrinium adds any more loading screen time to ESO like IC did I'm done.

They should allow us to uninstall the "IC" DLC pack if that helps reduce the load times.

It comes and goes for me and then when I finally load there is so much lag...

I died so many times, because the lag boss was way to OP for me. I had a good 4-5 seconds between hitting the button and having it happen.

Loading screens are by far one of the most annoying things atm. I'm a pretty patient person but I swear I stare at that screen and it just makes my blood boil and then by the time I yell COME THE *** ON, it goes. I don't really enjoy this mini game called look at deer butt for 5 minutes. Maybe fix the damn loading time guys. And maybe throw in some of those old loading screens for variety. lmao!

The worst is when you finally load into an area only to be hit with yet another long loading screen almost immediately. Grrr. WHAT have they done since IC launch to cause these loading screens it's so bad.

Get loading screens, they finally end, realize your battle spirit is missing, do all the ritual dances to try and get it back, sit through loading screens, fall through world and die. Eat cheetohs and play CIV.

Fired up GW2 yesterday to see what's what and went from log in to in game character control in 15 seconds. Moving from zone to zone took 12 seconds. I timed it, no exaggeration.

This needs to be fixed.

edit: just as a comparison, from hitting "log-in" to gaining character control in ESO...1 minute 34 seconds.

I can vouch for this. GW2 is very well optimized.

If I could put GW2 game mechanics/performance into the ESO environment I would be in hog heaven!!

I realize this was directed at Ezareth but yanno what as a NB main you'd think I'd be in paradise in PvP right now but I'm actually enjoying my vet3 sorc alot more the last few days even with the nerfs xD Im literally a tank with the battlelevelling and my CP it's so wrong.

Hard to say. I'm enjoying the sense of power on the sorc more than my NB, but the combat is far more satisfying on the NB for some reason. Sorc just seems disjointed to play now, almost broken, but it's easy to overlook that when you're regularly critting for 30K+

I think my next video will be a multi-perspective video alternating between the Sorc and NB although I'm not positive yet. It's been forming in my head so I should begin working on it soon. The music and theme are pretty much set.

I also must note that good 1 v X PvP is far more rare than it used to be. PvP is either feast(Zerg) or famine(no one) these days and it seems PvP is dying. I'm not a big fan of all these videos people post of them wiping zergs of players....while they're fighting PvE mobs. It really takes away from the skill of the player IMO so I'm trying not to include that kind of stuff.

This. It's almost impossible to find small scale fights solo where it isn't you vs at least 6 other ppl. Solo players just aren't running in Cyrodiil much at all anymore, sewers is full of 8+mans, districts is just an endless kamikaze fest.

Cyrodill before IC was actually better. And that's saying something. There's not many good fights anymore. I wish organised duels were a solution but not if it takes 10 minutes for someone to die or force a stalemate

With all that being said, do you think Sorc or NB would be the way to go right now? Just curious which one might be better or more fun with the current state of PvP.

That's a question I don't think I can answer for you. I feel I'm a far better sorc than I am a nightblade yet I think I enjoy my nightblade playstyle more. I originally made my nightblade to prove a point and figured I'd hate it. I ended up loving every minute of it and in many ways during the height of permarolling feel I enjoyed it more than my sorc. Now it is hard to say. There are some things that are possible on a sorc that I don't think are possible on my nightblade....or perhaps that is my lack of complete knowledge and skill with the class.

I'd say play and try both as you'll become a better player for it. I know I did.
