Bound armaments grafic.

Can we please get an option to disable this feature, like we can helmets and mount upgrades... I don't like being forced to have the same armor"look" throughout the game simply because I am using bound armaments as a Sorc...

Agreed. There needs to be a toggle off option for the look of bound armor/armaments graphics.

@Iluvrien - It is not from a realistic perspective here. The armor overwrites everything you wear. So unless you wear a costume everything else is just overwritten. No visual progression...no dye system. Nothing. If it was a subtle graphical aura on you or something else I wouldn't mind. But it is the only thing you will be looking at your screen without changing at all for many months to come.

I've played a Sorcerer since PC early access. You don't need to explain to me how bound armour works. It works in a very similar fashion to the way it has worked since Morrowind (that's when I started playing TES so I am not sure about before then). If you have it summoned then you can see it.

If you want to see your clothes and dyes then just don't have it toggled when you are not in combat. If you are in combat and have it on... then surely you are more interested in its defensive capabilities than its appearance?

Last time I played my sorc the disguises seem to hide bound armor. The sorc is indeed kind of a mess aesthetically, lightning is the most atrocious looking skill in the game but is quite useful. No! I shouldn't become freaking invisible to shoot lightning out of my a**.

There still needs to be some kind of animation so people know you have this ability toggled. If they remove the actual armour look, you'd need something else instead.

I think ideally the skill should conjure a heavy armour version of the armour sets/style you are currently wearing, with an ethereal slant to it. This way it would at least be closer to what you are wearing in addition to looking a bit different for everyone.

edit: I do realize that this is probably a heck of a lot of code work though.

By the same logic you can walk around in tattered robes (as a costume) while wearing a few inches thick metal armor. It works both ways. Besides, you can wear costumes over bound armor making it invisible anyways. I'd like to be able to see my actual gear for once, instead of being forced to wear costumes all the time.

What are you talking about? Spiked armor is and looks extremly badass and so does Sonic the Hedgehog.

Iluvrien, I respect your views, but this is not Morrowind, and many many aspects of ESO are not similar to any of the elder scroll games. This is a simple feature in line with you being able to wear a full plate helmet, but not showing it... you being able to ride a horse with stuff on it that is invisible, or as allready stated you being able to hide your full plate armor under a maid uniform (disguises)... Now I respect your opinion and if you like the way it looks, then keep in mind I didn't ask for those looks to be removed, just an option for those of us who don't like 'em, not being forced to view them while using the spell.

This is not and never has been about realism, but about aestetics and the joy of liking the way your character looks. The reason why I target this spell and not lightning form is that it is not permanent untill toggled off... so I can live with the changes because I actually get to see my armor in between.

i'v already given a decent work around, toggle the skill visual off? the effect can change to a sort of "shocking pulse" enchant glow like magelights but instead of blue lines it'll be daedric symbols.
