@ZOS is siege in cyrodiil working as intended?

because it's really weak (lol 3k dots) and not at all helping outnumbered forces stay competitive

    Fire Seige needs to do damage like in 1.6

    I'm fine with most patch changes, but right now you can't counter seige and have any impact.

    The new Cryodil debuff should of only effected combat inside Imperial City.

    This way it give's you plenty more time to react when your collecting stone's. However in cryodil, the damage was fine. You don't loose anything for dieing.

    Someone make a poll to have 50% debuff for imperial city and 20% back in cryodil.

    To stay on topic with OP. Yeah i agree, all siege need's to be like 1.6. Otherwise, number's win's. However if you have 20vs20 Siege is could be 50/50 since it's possible to kill many with the 1.6 siege damage.

    If I remember correctly and if not someone correct me but didnt ZOS buffed siege damage to help break up zergs but then they nerf it back to this talk about one step forward and two steps back

    Well put it this way, I poured Flaming Oil on somebody standing completely still, twice in a row and noticed their health was only down to about 30% before I had to actually go down to them and finish them off...

    Well put it this way, I poured Flaming Oil on somebody standing completely still, twice in a row and noticed their health was only down to about 30% before I had to actually go down to them and finish them off...

    Normally oil would kill me with one or two hits but now I can take 2+ and still be good.

    Irrespective of damage debuff, elemental seige should be close to fatal. Without effective seige, cyrodiil keep seiges are basically a waiting game.

    Siege dmg can never be 'balanced' until it ignores all resistances (Including champion points) grab the flame resist and DoT resist from the champion system and suddenly siege is meaningless.

    I noticed this the other day, I got hit simultaneously with two sieges (I think they were fire ballista), and survived without purging. That just shouldn't happen, even if I am on my tanky character.

    Normally, if I got hit by even one siege, if I didn't purge or burst heal through it, it would kill me or leave me pretty close to dead, and that is how it should be.

    earlier i healed through a cold fire ballista shot to the face with my normal momentum/vigor HoTs, didn't even have to do anything

    I'm a dunmer stage 4 vamp with just enough CP to get 10% fire resist from the warrior tree. Fire ballistas were ticking me for 1k damage a piece.

    This should not be happening.

    I miss the old cold fire/stone siege that you get from dolmens. It was perfect for being out numbered and still holding forces off. Siege is pointless now that everyone gets a 5 seconds warning to get out the way. The fact that it does no effective damage makes things worse.

    Id like to see the red warning taken off, so at least you had to physically see the incoming fire to move out the way.
    My ping is higher than your resource recovery...

    Only good siege weapons are coldharbour ballista, they still essentially instakill you.

    Cold fire is terrible, fire ballistas are terrible, meatbag catapults are terrible.

    This all could be in an attempt to make people do more dolmens in pvp, I guess.

    At the moment no one does them unless they are in a server dominated by their faction because obv reasons.

    It shows how incompetent Zos really is when it comes to balance changes. They blanket nerf and break more then they fixed.

    That would suck. Weapon damage and maximum stamina values have risen to a point that would be insane in a 2.0 enviroment. Remember those Nightblades who could instagib you at 35K health with the old values?

    I'd love to see siege weapons given some buffs.
    I rarely leave my siege unattended, simply can afford to stand in the red, knowing I need to tap vigor and everything is going to be okay.

    With their speed remained as it was, the aiming is slow as f*ck, and now add this ridiculously low damage, holding gaps with ballista strategy became pointless, not to mention other tactics involving siege weaponry became obsolete. Enemy players are durable due to the dmg redux, they can simply walk through burning embers, and flood of oil without a scratch.

    We're better off using snipes as anti-infantry instead of heavy weps.
