Soon or I'm done. Plz. :D
If your group is bigger than 6 members gain 75% damage reduction.

Write this on the back of your box and see how many sales you get!

You won't get any new PvP players until this archaic AoE crap is fixed.
I for one won't resub until:
1.) You fix lag.
2.) You remove AOE caps we voted against.
3.) 12 months have passed (this is how long we've waited for you to 'get with it')[/b]

id love to be able to do 1v1 duels in the PVE areas, i think it would be awesome if they added an interaction option for duelling, just make it so the other player needs to accept the duel and then you either get moved to a specific duelling area or just let us duke it out right there in the middle of belkarth

I have not seen a game that had PvP not have a zerg issue. It is just human nature to run with a group particularly when going into the unknown.

The problem is that some builds simply will be substandard for a 1v1 situation so then you get the this skill/build is overpowered or under powered depending on which side you stand on. I do agree that the addition of an arena where those players who chose to fight in such bouts would be a fun addition. However to have the random challenges I have seen in other games would be annoying.

They should make a PvP world where there is an AOE cap op only 1.
Could still spam AOE's then, but it wouldn't affect more than 1 person.

AOE caps do prevent zerging because people would have to target and communicate which takes more skill than what the current zergs are doing.

    1. No AOE server
    2. Remove Purge, Barrier and Negate.
    3. Make siege do escalated dmg if it hits more people.

ZOS will never do any of this because they keep introducing things that are pro-zerg, the PvP is practically unplayable at this point.

The numbers thing is always going to be there, but it’s more down to player skill and there are ways through ability choice to configure a group to be stronger vs. large groups of people. - BRAIN WHEELER - 2012 - LOL

I myself do often partake in PvP. Although it's non-vet, here are some findings of mine.

    1) People do use some strategy that works. My group always does a lot better when we have a leader who directs us well - tells us where to go, who to fight, where to put siege weapons, when to all rush in.

    2) that said, I always find myself wishing I had to think more. Especially as a healer, I find myself only ever spamming AOE heals on the biggest group of friendlies I can find. That's all I do. Likewise with my NB, all I did was fight the enemy with lowest health I could find. I never had to reconsider an action, I never had to plan a siege in detail in collaboration with my group leader. It was always a case of "we have twice as many people so lets go ruin their day"

    3) PvP is fun, if you like clustercombat. In that sense it's kind of similar to King of the Hill in ArmA 3, (64 player servers, whichever team has most players will win, 90% of the time). What PvP /should/ be like is ArmA 3 endgame - 8v8 games where the team that best plans their moves, knows when to fight, picks their fights, and uses teamwork will ALWAYS win. In ArmA 3 endgame, a team of 8 pistol-wielding scrubs who work as a team would easily beat a team of 8 fully-armed mutes.

PvP is a strictly multiplayer type of gameplay, and that's a fact. I just wish the devs made it so that working with my friends and being smart about it was the better way to win. Afterall, we're playing with hundreds of other REAL people - why aren't I encouraged to work with them?

Well, you do have to wonder where does the planning on ZoS' part end and the player responsibility start. Take the old (and yes, rather goofy statement...) from Sage about lag and zergs, and you can see that in the not so recent past it was already clear to them that they needed to actively find ways to start "changing the behavior of the players to remove incentives for large groups to stay in the same area." IC was supposed to embrace that concept - in theory.

Yet, no matter how many times it was stated that the aim of IC was supposed to be small party sneak-abouts to have a more legitimate level of PvP than the big groups in Cyrodiil proper, people instantly latched on to the "safety in numbers" motto and stayed there, which is why I find most PvP in this game pretty boring.

Considering the huge amount of PvE focus of the game and that a great majority of players seem to be interested only in that, it really isn't that surprising that the appeal of PvP nuances, shall we say? are no where to be found in their approach to this content, despite however many opportunities for it there might be.

I think the problem is prime time play devolves into that. It's more fun and can be smaller group oriented when there aren't as many people on, e.g. late late night/early morning. Even facing, and often losing to, the super-high CP groups (who seem to be on 24/7) is more fun than the zerg/blobs of prime time. Not saying that's amazingly enjoyable for more than a couple hours, but it's better than prime time with no FCs.

Disabling the grass may improve performance.

I caught 2 people alone this evening, and it made me smile. I carefully scouted the area for a hidden zerg before going in, but I could see no one else. Today was a good day.

The player is only responsible for having fun, it is the game developers job to provide the framework. I have thought about this and have come to 4 conclusions,

    1. Several key people are ZOS are simply not intelligent enough to come up with fun solutions.
    2. Devs are handicapped by not being able to make any changes which must make it a very frustrating place to work.
    3. They are blind..aka they think everything is working fine.
    4. All of the above
