Ineviteble Detonation on a Ranged Magblade that uses Inferno Staff

Topic. Is it viable to use? How would one use it in theory if so? I'm messing with it at the moment.

You can't go wrong with it in a magic build. I prefer dual wield for more spell damage

I jump between dual wield and staff. But for some reason I'm finding staff more effective. My gear isn't exactly where it needs to be yet though that might be contributing to it.

There's pros and cons to Inevitable versus Proxy. Inevitable lets you stay at range but you need a target. Proxy is great because you can time it with Curse, Frags, Dawnbreaker, and have pretty incredible burst, you don't need a target, and it's not really a wasted slot on your bar because you can keep refreshing it every 8 seconds.

Thread of the topic , magblade = magicka nightblade. Not sorc

Go whith the one you feel comfortable with. If it's for nuking down single targets then go for inevtible. Can work for groups too but some people run from their group when they have it on them.

Also since you're using staff it's probably better (since you stay ranged)

Proxy deto feels better for magicka melee nbs with DW or 2h who teleport in, spams sap/uses bats + fear etc in close range.

Inevitable -> meteor -> mass hysteria. I found to my delight yesterday that this combo is pretty good. Alot of opponents are just an impale away from a kill afterward. Cloak also allows me to cover most of inevitable's cast time in relative safety. Fun so far.
I might switch back to dual wield and proxy at a later date once I get better gear, as before I felt my spell damage and max magicka just wasn't high enough to use dual wield effectively.
