Magicka dk 1h/s vs DW

Hey guys so I've been working on a new magicka dk build for 2.1 but I can't decide if I want to run sword and board or dual wield. Would like some input on what other people are running/ opinions on what you guys think would work.

I enjoy double s&b, but a dual wield bar is enticing.

Right now I'm running DW front bar with inhale, talons, whip, scales, fossilize, and take flight with a resto second bar with magicka det, igneous shield, blessing of restoration, volatile armor, entropy/mist form and standard of might. Been playing around with sword and board but I think dw might be a better option this patch. I also thought about putting mage light on in place of inhale and entropy to see if the extra crit would be worth it but I'm not sure about that yet.

well, you should definitely use entropy.

I assume this is for PvE.

Unless you are in a block build or have 75 points in the steed and looking for more armor I would go DW. DW has more spell power and a second weapon trait for more penetration/crit etc than SB and you can no longer significantly block via S/B alone.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. DW seems to work well with the DK this patch. Still on the fence about a few skills though. Considering running the crit chance mundus too.
