Why does my V1 NB have 7k more health in Cyrodil/IC than my V16 sorcerer?

My V16 sorcerer is wearing all purple gear, 5 heavy, 2 light armor with all heavy armor passives. All armor glyphs give health. After battle spirit, he has 27k health.

My V1 nightblade is wearing a mix of purple and blue gear, 5 medium, 2 heavy, and all but two glyphs give health. He has most of the heavy armor passives. After battle spirit, he has almost 35k health.

Neither character has any attribute points in health.

WTF? Something wrong with battle-leveling? I'm struggling to find an explanation...

@Bramir You have battle leveling turned on for your V1 NB. That is why. When you look into how battle leveling works you will be quite pissed about spending money or materials to make "good gear" for battle leveled PvP.

    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/217748/non-vet-pvp-battle-leveling-and-you-a-hopefully-helpful-guide

This thread breaks it down pretty well but not perfectly.

Wow...that is frustrating. With that on top of shield nerfing, I think my sorcerer just went into retirement...

Battle leveling anything out of non get pvp is just a terrible idea. A v16 is end game and shouldn't have to work hard to kill 2+ v1 just because dos decides to bump their stats higher than a v16 can get to compensate. Anything under v14 shouldn't be battle leveled and should know when they face a v16 to expect the worst.

Are Battle Level stats in vet PvP so high that well geared v16s struggle to beat them?

I learned the hard way. I still remember i ran into 2 VR3 nightblades, they were alone at first so i took them both out separately but it seemed they were on steroids! I was close to their keep so then they came back together and beat the crap out of me lol

Not that they were strong, but they had so much health that my magic regen couldn't keep up

Not struggle to kill them just the TTK on someone with 40k hp is so large youy literally drain almost your entire resources to kill them and if theres two of them... haha.

In other words to be good in 1.7 have a battle leveled character and go around in a group as any 1vx is now dead because of casual's complaining about not being on the same stats as a maxed character.

I have a toon that recently went from V13 to V14. I went from having 32k health and almost 20k mag and stam to having significantly less in all 3.

Using the exact same gear, my toon feels like it's surviving more though. I'm really not sure how it all works, I think the Devs took their math classes at the same place as Enron's accountants.

It's quite a shock when you go v13 to v14.

All of a sudden... you suck!

And then you have to upgrade everything to legendary, and then you will still have worse stats than a v13 or less.

My understanding is that the battle leveling is the same for all sub 14 vets regardless of attribute point distribution? Despite all the crying from the V16s (I have two myself) I think its well balanced. While the extra resources might sound excessive, you will still be running around with your lvl's relative physical and spell resistance and relative spell/weapon power. So V16's still have a huge advantage in that they can punch much harder.....

It's well balanced until those same battle leveled people hit v14 and don't know how to play because they've been using fake stats. Freaking v3 dk's are tankier than the v16 ones I fight lol. Honestly it's not about being killed by lower vet levels because that generally doesn't happen. It's the arbitrary extension of a fight that the extra health gives alongside the damage reduction. Long fights with a player who knows his class and can manage potions, shields, dodge rolls, abilities and resources are fun. Long fights with a v3 who thinks he can spam wb on me and when that fails just sits there blocking and healing until he dies aren't fun.

If they're going to battle level it should be based off attributes. You shouldn't have 30k health with 50 points into stamina and no health gear lol.
Knee Jerk, L2P, Obtuse, Casual, Entitled, All The Best, unnecessary mention of CoD

Battle leveling for pve content defeats the idea of progression. Remove CP

I was fighting a vr7 the other day on my vr16, when he couldnt handle me with his wreckling blow and he was down to half hp, out came the pots, the food (he actually ate while circling me lol), the running, the hiding, more pots, back to wreckling blow ..... i just gave up after that.

Total time spent 15mins, total pots used 0, entertainment value 0, total stones 0
    Summon mount, ride to IC.

These battle leveled players are so hard to wear down.... worst if its a DK i guess
So thats why cyrodiil is dead, players in IC are just easier to kill with npc help, 2 shots and its free stones.

I never had any problems with battle leveled enemies on my v16. They have tons of hitpoints, but they also have low damage, and low regens(and there is nothing they can do about that, since battle level overrides their gear choices)

They certainly cannot be quickly ganked in a couple of blows, but that's the point i guess - to give newbies the feeling that they were fighting, instead of just falling over dead.

Its because of battleleveling, they make you hit ppl like a wet noodle, but your hp is huge. I went from 1800 wep dmg and 40k hp to 2600 wep dmg and 23k hp from v13 to v14 the other day:) Silly thing.
