Anyone else getting this login instant death bug too? A replay of my latest death caused by being teleported hundreds of meters in the air after logging in. For the record my character was initially inside the bank in Evermore when I logged out last. @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JasonLeavey

I keep hearing about this bug, but it hasn't happened to me yet. It almost does.. I login, screen goes white and I start falling. Then I get another loading screen and I fall onto the ground from 2 meters high and it's fine. Super weird.

Well this one makes you fall several hundred meters. Fell for almost 10 seconds.

Love the tip of "Watch your step." on the death recap screen.

I had this bug once. I logged in and was put high in the sky, dropped to the ground and needed to revive on a waypoint.

Had this happen multiple times pre IC. I was one that was getting hit with constant but random disconnects for no apparent reason. More often than not I was in a dungeon at the time (selens web was the worse for it) and it would disconnect me. Upon loading up again I was back at the respawn point for selen (not the wayshrine) it would put me back in a mini loading screen then dump me miles above everyone else and then release me. TBH I was close to learning to fly... then the IC dropped and I no longer get kicked randomly.

Same here, both things, the falling down several hundred meters and the enjoying about that wonderful tip.

I have to add, that I sometimes find my char outside the world, i.e. below the sand beach near Daggerfall harbour. I could swim around below the sand until I reach the water line, then I am blocked. I can see and hear the NPCs there, but cant reach them to interact. There have been another locations below or besides the world, I could see the banker walking above me but unreachable.

I have written several tickets with screenshot. I never found a patch notice about this bug.

I fall and die or get stuck somewhere and have to pay the /stuck gold fee. It happens a lot to me and I getting tired of paying the fee. If I run out of gold when it happens... game over. I won't be able to get back in the game.

ZOS - Please fix this bug.

I had it happen to me a couple times... login, fall... but then no "splat", but a teleport to the wayshrine. -shrugs- In either case, not like its that big a deal, though of course, one wishes they would find and squish that bug eventually...

had something extremely similar to this. Never a single death from fall.

Mournhold gets a special mention: login to character (loading screen...), move a bit (loading screen...), then get near the woodworking station (loading screen...) and 50% of the time I either fall into the void just to pop next to the wayshrine, or simply stay in place (sometimes with a falling animation starting for a split second).

"I believe I can flyyyy... oh wait, no".

Has happened to me randomly. Yet another example of why programming resources need to go toward bug and performance issues rather than CP caps and perceived OP skills.

I get the free falling everytime I log in, don't think I've died from it though since IC, more often than not now I fall through the map and land in an underground area where I have to type /stuck to get out. Only seems to happen when logging in and not when I'm entering new zones

Fortunally it didn't happend to me. But a guildmate had this problem since the IC update. He's going back a forth with technical support trying to fixit.

I had this bug in a major way a few weeks ago.

After filing a bug report I got an email suggesting that I do a "repair" from the launcher.

Fixed it for me but I have heard that for others it did not work.

Can I make a guess? All the players who are having these issues are running the game on Windows 10, right?

Of what I've seen in the PC Technical Support forum during the last weeks or even months, these kind of issues were reported mostly from players using Windows 10. Which are exact the same issues I had months ago on Windows XP (yes, I upgraded in the meantime lol, but to 7/64bit, on purpose). Reading a crash report in one of the postings in the Technical Support forum just recently was kinda confusing since it reads like he's running the game on WinXP, and not 10! Maybe it sounds odd when I see a connection there, but.. I'm sure there is.
Btw, I don't have any of these issues on Win7.

ZOS - Please fix this bug.

You know you can port to anyone online in your alliance in your guild rosters or friends list, right? You don't need to do /stuck and/or pay to port.

This has happened to me several times since IC and never before. Maybe we should just stand in a lake when we log off so we have a chance of splashdown in water with no hp loss.

It doesn't matter where you are standing. Several times now I've been teleported to places that are inaccessible by normal means, such as the top of the mountain range behind the Evermore bank in Bankorai.
