Shouldn't have to be forced to use crafted/bought immovability potions just to PvP.

You'll be forced to use potions for PvP, its just the way the game was designed. i don't know anyone who PvP's without having any tri stat pots. Its just adding another one to the list

I see what you mean though because I only use Magicka restore & spell damage increase pots, and sometimes stamina pots to escape/break/block but even with tri food and potions, it doesn't change much because you can still get locked down until you completely run out of Stamina or just die from the hard-hitting & CCing abilities like Wrecking Blow or just all-out snares etc.

    That's another story...

Either use immovability pots, put pressure on opponent so they can't CC you, or learn to counter some CC abilities. If you want an easy solution just use the ability immovability in the heavy armor skill tree

This is why I said it's aimed at groups because I can't just CC a whole group while I'm being CC'd. 1v1 or 1v2 is out of the equation.

I could do a million things to combat CC but I made this topic because I was just sharing a suggestion to possibly make CC immunity count towards ALL CC, though I didn't expect it to go anywhere, hence why I didn't tag any ZOS staff or anything like that.

Going by your signature, you are a Templar. You should be getting rid of every soft CC that is put on you by reflex with purifing ritual. Never waste your stam dodging out of a talons since the DK is just going to reapply it over and over anyway. Just purify it because you can probably purify more than a DK can talons given the cost difference in the two skills.

I'll give you that this is much easier on PC because I have a massive notification that appears every time I need to cleanse, but you should still be able to do it.

@timidobserver Yeah, true that. I use purifying all the time so but when I'm vs a group of whatever size, it seems that the combination of different CC feels like it's on you forever and I don't know whether it's a time thing with the whole break free animation taking valuable damage/heal time, or maybe CC immunity isn't exactly making me immune from certain CC?

I have a video on my mist form topic about how I'm still being CC'd while in mist form with retreating maneuvers up, so it makes me wonder.

The primary culprit is Bombard, which will hold you in place even if you are cleansing depending on how many people are using it. In that situation retreating maneuver will get you out of all of the spammed CCs. Though you'd have to make sure you maintain enough stam to use it.

Indeed.. it becomes a mess, but I guess that was their intention with the game in the beginning. 'Anti-hero Vs Zerg-mechanism'.

Roots and snares aren't actual cc's, you can still control your character. Therefore no need for immunity, since you can purge, purify, roll or use other skill that removes snares.

However, there's something wrong with cc immunity in 2.1. It's even worse than before. When you have multiple players attacking and than IC NPC's in the mix all spamming soft/hard cc, fears, knocks and interrupts, your characters just goes kaput. Guess it's to much information for the game to process at that point, so you dont get the immunity. Think that's what you're referring to.

Also how we cant block or dodge much in 2.1, making cc even harder to avoid, because of stamina management. I usually have to break like a robot every 7 second now(when it works), as soon as the swirly circle is gone you have to break again, not to enjoyable tbh. There's a reason cc's have a cooldown in other online games :smirk:
