Getting what you pay for- glass shield

A guildmate and I got the glass shield motif the old-fashioned way (pooling our fragments and buying the glue).
And boy-oh-boy would I be *pissed* if I had paid (insert amount between $30 and $50 here) to get it. You could drive a bus through that gap.
Maybe the bounding boxes are designed for a bigger character- but this seems like pretty shoddy work for an item they intend to charge real money for.
Just a bit of caveat emptor for those thinking of buying...

To be fair, only the shield is glass. The rest is a mix of Soulshine (Khajiit) and Orc. Just made it green to match the shield.Btw, did you take any front pics? I'd love to see what the face of it looks like.
I think the shield is actually not bad-looking. Upgraded to purple it still has glass-colors, but it looks really silly in use and while walking.

✭✭✭✭✭It's really more a flaw of the shield design. They created the details on the back of the shield but didn't give them any functionality.
What they needed to do was design the shield like a weapon where the hand is actually holding it, then add a support strap across the forearm. Resting is always going to be a problem, though. It's either float it or have a weird way to strap it on without the ability to dye the straps anyway. I don't think that should be fixed, but the combat model definitely should be.

It's only VR8. I'd be interested to see if it's any different at VR16, but this character is my only sword & board.
