Prismatic Essence Rune Drops

Does anyone know for sure where the new Prismatic rune drops? I've heard that it drops from trove scamps and the Molag Bal event in the middle of the sewers, but I'm wondering if it drops anywhere else, or if it can sometimes come from hirelings. I ask partly because I've never done the Molag bal event, and I've only killed 2 trove scamps, and I didn't think either of them dropped anything other than the VR15-16 crafting mats and TV stones, and yet the other day I noticed I have one of the Prismatic essence runes in my bank, so I was wondering if I might have got it from a hireling without noticing...

✭✭I'd love it if hirelings started to bring useful stuff, but I think that's possibly a little optimistic (particularly with my luck on RNG - still only 1 ambrosia page).
As I've invested the skyshards I want my hirelings to bring me the top of the range materials, but I've only received a handful of VR15/16 materials, and none of the new enchanting materials.0 -
