Sorcerer healers

Hey guys, so I've been a sorc healer for 70% of my time spent playing this game. (I've also dabbled in tanking, stam dps (pre and post patch), and of course magicika dps all tested and proven viable in veteran dungeons.) I want to know everyone's take on the new morph structure for Conjured Ward, Empowered Ward. As it no longer increases the damage your pets do instead it increases your overall healing output by 8%. If your a sorcerer healer, I highly recommend switching over to this morph in place of Hardened Ward and testing it out at the very least. It might just be the increase you've been looking for to have more healing output. If you'd like to know my build just ask and I can provide an answer. Happy Hunting.

I tried it, found it lackluster. 8% is too small of a bonus to give up 33% increase to the shield. I've just stacked magicka and spell damage. 15k health, almost 35k magicka (I'm a khajiit okay >.>) and can get to 10k crits on prayer of restoration. Hardened ward makes up for my lack of health.

Are you using the full healer's set, ritual mundus stone, blessed (champion point passive) and empowered ward? If not, then that's why you feel it's lack luster.

I think its worth running and makes sorcs viable healers. You need to consider the fact that people give up 5 slots for the same bonus so it is defiantly worth it as it allows more healing.

Sorc healer here, V16 all game content done.

Eventually the only skill you will carry on your healing bar is "healing ward" for 4-man groups. The skill scales the best from spell power and empowered ward won't matter.

Yes... but I doubt healing ward is all you're gonna wanna run in PvP.

It is an interesting idea, I may try it out. After reading Im curious how this would transfer to PvP (mundus stone etc post)

At least something to consider, it may have the 33% less, if you can recast before taking damage, then it becomes even more useful.

correct, pvp or trials are very different beasts from 4-man PvE..

To elaborate.....the heals i use for pvp are ... hardened ward to too good to give up ...
Rapid regeneration and Magical springs

for trials i use ... empowered ward is the better choice
quick siphon and Magical Springs ... (sometimes energy orb)

All in all, sorcerers are the best class in the game we can effectively do all the roles.

thats just an opinion, fact is all classes can do all roles effectively.
