Zeni.. You NEED to un-nerf grinding mobs.

Zeni you really messed up with that patch. Sure you wanted new players to actually play the quests and experience the game which is completely understandable, but you really screwed over the hard-core players. I myself have 2 VR16s and have played almost every quest twice and I definitely am burned out from quests. With this patch you have made it a real pain for players like me to level up new characters and increased the grind significantly. It really has made me not want to even try to level him up just because the only viable way to level is by doing all the side quests for a 3rd time. I also believe that many new players will lose interest in the game way before they hit the level cap because the grind is even longer and more tedious than previously. Just let there be grind spots and have there be very rewarding quests then let players play the way they want to.

Maybe if people didn't rubberband to level they wouldn't nerf grinding? Karma is a female dog that is moody...

On a side note I've noticed Dolmens are worth some effort even at Vet Ranks. At VR2 my meter has shown signs of growth just from completing the lowest level Dolmen possible even if I just stood around throwing Vigors around as I let the low levels take out the Daedra.

Nope. Grinding should be nerfed, it is not tormal runnng around and killing mobs you already killed 1000 times.

I don't really care one way or the other. Grinding for the sake of grinding is annoying. I do however want to be able to group with 2 or 3 other players and not be penalized for it. It's a god damn MMO, I shouldn't be penalized for wanting to group up with other players. Group dungeons/Craglorn comes to mind.

80% of the community seems to think otherwise when it comes to grouping. They think this is Skyrim 2.0, lol.

Also bring back grinding or up the exp rate more. Or at least let us unlock Cad's Gold and Silver the moment we hit VR1, none of this 'YOU HAVE TO COMPLETE THE MAIN QUEST OVER AND OVER" garbage. I mean come on, I got tired of hearing Cadwell talking, and I thought I would never get tired of that.

I despise mindless grinding. That being said, even if I finish every quest through gold (excluding Craglorn) , I'm still usually only V11-12 and I have to grind those last few out. There's 3 or 4 places in Cyrodiil that are still viable. The zombie grinds are ridiculous, though. There's always 10 people at each spot and is impossible to grind efficiently so I just dont.

I do a mix of cyrodiil and dungeons and break the monotonous gameplay with a bit of "hunt the SkyShard".

Really all I'm after is a multitude of characters. A few in each alliance, with a main alliance having all 4 classes. All at least VET lv with a "main crafter" and "PvP'r" the fastest way I have found,

    WITHOUT reacting like this:

    https://youtu.be/CXC54bpolHA

Is to go to an alliance dominant campaign and quest there with a group of friends. Questing is boring, good friends aren't.

    Grinding should indeed be un-nerfed.

People, it is very selfish to demand grind nerf because you personally dislike it. Others have already done the content that you are enjoying and now wish to play in a different way (notably, at vr16). Grind would not be necessary if VR ranks were gone (oh the irony).

Zeni will only lose customers by attempting to force people into 1 style of play.

    E.g.:

Nerf grind to make people quest = people quit, not quest.
Refuse to put in PVP arena because you want people to play in Cyrodiil? (this is heresay) - ridiculous - don't be so emotionally motivated. Instead, take a factual approach - people want it and you have it = low risk high reward.

Also, on a separate note, it could be said that people will quit sooner if they did not need to grind so much to endgame. This is potentially true, however, putting in real, repeatable and competitive content at endgame would retain customers more effectively than enforced (quest) grinding.

Lets see with 1.6 and to now what they introduced:

    -XP pots
-v14 Cyro Dungeons for increased XP new places to grind
    -XP pots
-Sewers with mobs with over 1k XP per
-Purchasable Mara Rings for 10% XP
    -XP pots
    -Increased XP for player Kills
-Reduced XP from 1M+ to 1mil to 850k per to make grinding more rewarding till Orsinium(2 CP per now irrelevant soon)
-XP pots for 50% more experience

    Questionable Rumours I havent tried:
    -Spellscar pre v16
    -Increased XP to quests

    Don't nerf the mobs.

    Nerf grinding itself!

Seriously, I get sooo vexed by those grinding quest-dodgers coming to some cadwells zone and killing all the mobs, over and over, so I can hardly find those I need for my quest completions...

Really wish the game would keep track of mob types killed, and reduce expees by 1% per kill until they are no longer gaining anything because killing the hundreth mudcrab is no longer an experience to learn from, but mere routine...

That'd show them. Show them all! ;)

Well I have never grinded mobs, I did all quests and got to VR16 before completing gold, yes it got a tad boring on my second character, that's why I suggested you get offered a faction change after you complete Gold in hopes this would encourage more people to want to complete it.

They've done enough already; DLC offers vastly superior experience to everywhere else, if you want to grind, either subscribe or buy the DLC, the base game shouldn't give as much XP as DLC zones, DLC has to be designed in a way that is going to move more units.

I agree with DLC being higher.

I disagree with base game being nerfed in the same way as I disagree with nerfing base game armour stats.

So how will you metric the strength of a player? Change it to show the CP count on a player? Then those become the Vet levels. I think you will find that having is not the same as wanting on that one.

ZoS needs to make leveling in vet levels a comforting experience. Whenever people start using the word grind in any context with regards to leveling, then a mistake has been made somewhere. The journey should not be a painful experience that drives players into frustration.

Yes, some people find the current path from vet 1 - vet 16 a perfect pace but a number of people do not. Whether it's increasing mob xp, quest xp or reducing level xp required or just making questing more fun somehow, it is up to ZoS to make the game "fun" for a majority of players so they actually stick around and play the game.

Agree. The only way to level on my VR14 is to grind, there's nothing left for me to do in the world. Making the grind take longer is infuriating.
