Any update on missing beams?

Has this been addressed by anyone yet? I can't find very much on it, but ever since the most recent update NONE of the beams that I, or my friends, and even some enemies use are showing up. For example, lightning staff, restoration staff, force shock and that's just to name a few.
One of the bosses in Vet wayrest sewers has this "Jesus Beam" ability that you literally cannot see coming, after dying several times you just have to constantly heal and run around to avoid a near instant death.

Oh, something about that wayrest sewer guy...

Tank him by that flipped over wooden fishing boat (I think that's what it is). It's not very far from where he does the beam thing. That way, he will teleport to where he always does, which is easily within running distance from that fishing boat, and get your healing on healing ASAP. At least that way you know right after he teleport he will do the beam thing, whether you see the beams or not.
