I was going to say I'll pronounce it /ma'laxit/ from this day on just to annoy pronunciation Nazis, but I realized I'm on PC and never on any voice channels. Shame. Then again, on EU nobody would probably care because most of us aren't native English speakers. How many non-US citizens know who or what Spokane even is?Now, how many non-US-citizens know how to pronounce Spokane?

Which is exactly why OP is right to mention what the correct pronunciation is. What's wrong with learning the correct pronunciation ? Do you want to spend your whole life "speaking" that horrible and extremely poor soup of a language which is called "international english" ?
English is not my native language either, I make mistakes too and I'm always glad whenever I can improve it and differentiate the true language from this "soup".
Sure, but most people don't like pedantic behaviour of another. If they feel they are in need of some pronunciation classes, they will go to a professional. As a rule of thumb, don’t help people if they didn’t ask for. Unless their life is in danger.

Btw, many English native speaker have an awful pronunciation too. Geordie Shore types, by instance.

That's more down to local dialect than incorrect pronunciation in many cases. For example, next tae nae wan wid understand mi if I typed in ma local Scottish dialect.
The UK is a funny place insofar that you can travel as little as 3 miles and you can enter an area where the dialect is completely different from the place you've just arrived from. Too many people nowadays are made to feel bad about their local dialect because there seems to be many amongst us that would prefer all of us spoke in some sort of uniformed mono tone. *** them I say. I'm proud of where i come from and equally proud of my Scottish accent and the dialect that entails. If people have an issue with how I pronounce words, then that's their issue. They don't need to speak to me and I'd prefer they didn't.

lol
Des goûts et des couleurs, on ne discute pas. It's a matter of personal taste as well, I like the Scottish accent.
