Why does it need fixing? Is this about IC, as I read in zone chat, a player claim it was being dropped at the sewer entrance, doing large amounts of damage & being an exploit.

It is currently bugged, it basically oneshots anyone stepping on it.

Is it just the skill itself that's bugged, or is it some combo including the skill? I'm not asking how to do the exploit, I just want to know if the skill always does this, or just under certain circumstances...

I've been hit by rearming trap several times in the past several days and been insta-killed. I've been in groups of 12 in IC who ran into one trap and the whole group died, within 2-3 seconds. Several of us, after dying, were then bugged: stuck as dead and able to run around while our attributes regenerated, but unable to release or to interact with anything.

This also means that you cannot accept a resurrection by pressing E. You can accept the rez by going to your notifications and accepting from there, however. But if you do that, then the notification that you have a pending rez will stay on your screen. And if you happen to rez while the rearming trap is still there, you will just die again.

Note that in every single case, it's been the same player (in the DC faction) who has been using this exploit.

It's still bugged, I don't know what causes it, since I don't think it works that way for everyone, but it's certainly working that way in many cases.

If there's been no acknowledgement at all on their part, it's not an exploit. If it were an exploit they'd at least say SOMETHING like "we're investigating".

i guess ist a ui error, anyone cast the trap at the same place, someone is runing in and get hit by 10 traps.
UI just Report 1 trap.

OR the trap doesnt disaper when a other one is casted by the Player, so stacking traps is a possible cause

Not true. I had to pester Zenimax at ESO Live to get confirmation the Cold Siege Weapon bug was in fact a bug and fortunately was fixed with the IC patch.

I'd advise doing the same next ESO Live, which is 3 days away (the 25th at 4PM EDT).

It's possible people are stepping on a bunch of traps placed in 1 spot which collectively can inflict massive damage. If this is the case it's pretty much a case of zerging.

I step in one trap, I am solo no zerg , I hear click, click, click, click like a I stand there and use vigor and rely to heal through it to see how long it goes click for and it's like 30 sec. Next time I let it kill me and one trap did 14k damage I'm not a vampire. You know all ZOS has to do is log into there game for once and see hundreds of traps being spammed all over memorial district and go "hmm... That's weird why is everyone using such a *** skill?" oh and also if you let it kill you or your a vampire when you die you will lay on the ground and be able to jump and move all over but you can't rez.

reading other forum threads it is a bug that ZOS are investigating.

not gone into ic yet...would the guy actualy have to loot the corpses to get the telvar stones? or can he hide in his Ic hq banking the stones that keep flowing in?

Yes let's use a skill while in combat that costs like 5k stamina. Then run around not atacking so as not to fall into trap againagain.

Nope you don't have to actively loot anyone. the stones just rooolll on in.

The Fighters Guild line sure does seem awfully bugged. I rarely use anything from it other than Silver Shards, and of course the Passives. I'm surprised there hasn't been at least a stealth nerf to this and Camo Hunter (or Camel Hunter as one of my Guildies likes to call it lol). They'll stealth nerf a grinding spot a few days after it's been revealed here, but they won't look into a truly serious exploit that actually effects numerous players...

If I was a lesser person and took advantage of exploits and/or bugs I'd be all over this. As it is I don't like using things like that; I'm a relatively sucky PvPer, but I'm not going to spam an ability that takes no skill to use just to earn some kills. You don't get better by doing underhanded stuff like that.

They acknowledged it, and don't have an eta. It is in the large thread compiling all the bugs.
