Stamina Templar Survivability & General Questions

Hey all,
Recently turned my High Elf magicka templar into a stamina templar. I know the racial passives dont match up well but with the recent changes to magicka in the patch I thought this would be a great time to try out a Stamplar (I also didn't want to level a third character to V16).
I have made my Stamplar and he is pretty strong, 3200 WD with Rally on and when my Ravager procs I'm around 4200 WD. The damage is there but I am finding that I go down very quickly. I use Sun shield (I don't stack it, didn't think of it or know if I can).
What can I do to stay alive a little better? I have 20k health in PVE at the moment. I may try and raise that a little bit soon. I will be altering my build to incorporate some of the IC sets very soon paired with v16 Hundings.
Just curious to see if theres anything you guys are doing to stay alive that I'm not. I don't like getting burned down quickly when my DPS is needed. Maybe a change in champion points? I was thinking of trying to add points to medium armor focus instead of resistant? I have just under 140 champ points total.

It's more difficult to theorycraft than I expected on console due to the lack of addons so I appreciate any insight. (PS4 player)
