Sap essence animation problem

Anyone else notice that the usual tether animation connecting your PC to enemies while using sap essence isn't showing up? This isn't that much of a problem, but it makes knowing who is inside and outside my sap essence radius very difficult. I usually rely on those tethers to tell me if I'm too far away from an evasive caster or archer mob.

Hmm, actually the tethers still show up fine for me. I'm on PC though, are you on one of the consoles?

Yeah I'm on Xbox. I've seen other posts about missing "beams" and I'm sure that this is part of what they're talking about.

Pretty much off topic question here, but does Sap Essence heal the caster as well as allies? It doesn't say so on the tool tip which is why i run Power Extraction.

Yes it does. It may not be a fantastic source of healing, but coupled with the heal from refreshing path, you can just sit in one spot and spam sap until your foes are dead.
