I know I will get flamed for this but I am extremely tired logging in to 10 alts to and deposit/withdraw from bank, just because I want to have all craftings to my main..they said long ago that they are working on a inventory overhaul but still nothing, only some more inventory slots.. I ll just get a break and wait for it, cause while I managed to deal with it at the start it became a game breaking experience fast :(

Apparently they are working into a crafting only bag? It is separate from your regular inventory bag but you can only store crafting stuff.

It's worth mentioning that apparently this bag will only be available to ESO Plus members. So basically, it's going to cost $15 to rent that bag to manage the poor inventory system currently in place.

The inventory system needs a major reworking. The guild banks used to not stack items and now they hardly work at all. You're lucky if you can deposit or withdraw anything from a guild bank on XB1. Along with everything else in this game the bank menu screen is so laggy you more time than not end up pulling or putting items in/out that you didnt want to.

I have about 40 free spots in my bank, one character holds all of my enchanting mats whilst all others are in the bank.

I've had zero issues running my ship like this as I made sure upgrading bank space to max was #1 priority when starting ESO.

In order to get max bank space it didn't take long but I had to have a character dedicated to hitting the daily fence limit over and over, that character is now my main and has a casual bounty of 15 mill so I wont be able to do Orsinium quests.

I've heard "members only" too. It may start that way, but it will probably appear in the crown store not long after.

Yeah, they said something about that a while ago... But, they just recently made inventory upgrades purchasable on the crown store...

So there's no way they are going to do anything to help alleviate inventory issues now, since now they can make money off the problem instead.

That is why the members only makes since. because you are already are paying and ESO members are probably not buying extra crowns above their allotment.

They are also talking about having that as a benefit of ESO Plus so it may not be available outside of a Subscription.

Cannot wait for this "Crafting Bag". Would make my life a LOT easier.

I have 4 Mules that have their own "Rules" in the Bank Manager addon, which does help a LOT, but it could be better.

I see it as "I've created this monster", so it's kind of on me to deal with for now, while ZOS fixes other things that really need their attention. With that said, I hope they get to it before they add, say, Player Housing, or some other "frivolous" venture.

This has been an issue since day 1. Best thing to do is sucker some people into joining a guild so you can have bank slots, chances are those people disappear and you are left with a personal guild bank.

Oh yes, forgot to mention, this has caused me so much grief that I've purchased 12 accounts (2 I am saving for if another Friend wants to play) so I can have my own Personal Guild Bank. This helps to some degree. ;)

Step 1: Modify existing game functions (add extra crafting mats to exceed bank space available, change racial passives, etc).
Step 2: Give the masses some time to stew and fume over the problems created by the change. Really take your time and wait until they beg for the privilege of paying you for a solution.
Step 3: Put the solution in the subscription or the crown store as a response to popular demand.
    Step 4: Profit!

So where exactly does the huge Reduction in provisioning mats they did with 1.6 play into this?
Until IC they haven't added anything in the way of mats and we badly needed a new tier, voidstuff was stretched way too far.

Oh yeh and they also allowed runes to stack higher.
They could give us bigger stacking still, tho.

    hehe, yes it's pretty bad.

It could be worse, though. I've thought about one day using all of these Accounts to create their "own" guilds, and just use my own Accounts to fill-out the Rosters.

...an option, should I need it.

Drinks were not viable before 1.6 and food ingredients were tied to faction and level. Almost no one kept all of those mats before. Larger stacks are nice, it's the number of stacks that are a burden.

We have five new enchanting mats, four new weapon/armor mats, and 2 new style materials in this release alone. I don't think this is the last time we'll see new crafting mats.

I am currently leveling all crafting skills on one of my characters and the number of raw materials is simply staggering. Sure, I can use a couple of alts for storage purposes, but that becomes a real hassle when I actually want to use said mats.

Simple solution? Make inventory available account wide from one character to another. Problem solved.

You don't keep any other mats? Nothing for Blacksmithing, Clothiering, Woodworking?

There is more space than needed even if you are a master crafter like myself. Don't worry about style material (common ones) , trait gems, or low level raw materials. You should find a nice guild with a decent guild bank to hold those. In my bank I have my ingredients for provision, runes for enchant and my tempers for woodcutting, blacksmith and clothing and I still manage to keep 50 extra space in my bank. Spend your gold on bag space or bank space everything else is worthless.

Inventory management has a been an utter fail since launch. Crafting mats in this game occupy a ton of space, and an inventory system like the one implemented in GW2 would have increased the fun factor in this game by a significant factor. Not sure what the prob is...coding a materials inventory is not a big deal.

I hear what you're saying, but I'm still stuck on the fact that they put a plethora of crafting materials in the game, and no realistic way of storing said materials. While your solution obviously works for you, there is still a very clear failure on Zenimax's part to implement a working inventory management system. Utilizing alts for storage is a gross waste of time, especially given the ridiculous load times, when switching back and forth between 3-4 characters. I want to spend time playing the game, not managing inventory.
