Mailing in game - which name to use?

Hi, newbie here just started playing. If I mail someone in game which name do I use? Is it their character name or their account name? I keep seeing @xxxxx around the forums and I'm slightly confused. Thanks for in advance

You can use both. Only difference is, a mail directed at @player_ID will be available on all chars of said player, a mail directed at character's name will only be retrievable in the mailbox of said character.
