Treasure Hunter

So, you've managed to get yourself access to IC. You've worked grinded hard to get 225+ CP's.

However, The Treasure Hunter does not work in IC.

I don't remember seeing this being confirmed or stated within the Update notes.

One would have thought, with the whole Risk over Reward push from @ZOS that it would be allowed within IC as it means you are loosing certain % gains just to get this.

Any formal comment on this @ZOS_GinaBruno - As intended (and if so, why...out of interest...) and if not, can you confirm a bug and will be sorted?

EDIT: On a side thought, having this active when exploring in IC maybe it could just increase your percentage chance of getting a purple/blue recipe or a Glass Shard or maybe increase the % chance of getting a Xivkin motif in the Trophy Vaults?

Does it work with Undaunted chests? Some people say it does, some point that it should only work with treasure maps (which makes sense).
Should I take it for increased chance to get shoulders?

MY understanding it was never intended for the undaunted chests and thus doesn't work.

IT was always supposed to be for "World" Chests. For example, I know it doesn't work on chests in Trials or with Dolmens.

But one would expect it to work on normal chests inside IC *shrugs*

On a side note, I've noticed a severe lack of Martial gear from Delves/caves in Cyrodiil. Have these been officially removed? I don't remember this being mentioned in the Patch Notes?

I finally got around to finishing up all of the Cyrodiil delves about a week ago and I picked up quite a few Martial pieces in the process. Must just be our old friend RNG at work

Are you sure that wasnt pre-IC drop? Before it, I was picking up loads. Normally I would get at least 1 piece in an hour (actually, closer to 4-5).

It should work with all chests... not saying it does, just saying it should.

Based on these results, here's a list of how the Treasure Hunter passive increases your chance to find better items for each type of treasure chest

Simple Chests

• Chance to get a soul gem (empty of filled) is ~30% with the Treasure Hunter bonus instead of ~12% without it.
• 30% chance to get a green set item instead of a regular green item. Without the Treasure Hunter bonus, simple chests will never include set items!

Advanced Chests

• 100% chance to find a green set item instead of 40% chance.

Master Chests

• You will always find 2 regular blue items instead of just 1 (100% chance to find 2 blue items instead of 100% chance to find 1 blue item).

Hidden Treasure

• There's a chance of about 66% to find 2 green set items instead of just 1 (the chance to find at least one set item is 100% with the bonus, except for when you find a purple item; without the bonus, the chance to find 1 green set item is ~45%).
• (The chance to get 1 purple item instead of green set items might be something that can only happen when you have the Treasure Hunter bonus.)
• (The chance to get 1 regular green item on top of 1 or 2 green set items might be something that can only happen when you have the Treasure Hunter bonus.)

Overall, I think this bonus is very helpful when hunting for treasure chests and it really allows you to find a lot more set items and blue items than you could normally in the same amount of time

Edit: The drop info posted here is only correct for treasure chests in the second zone of each alliance (lv 15-23). I've noticed that higher level chests, for example in Coldharbour, have a much lower chance to include set items overall. Some rules, however, like the guaranteed blue item on intermediate chests, still apply.
