Why wont my update start downloading?

Pausing and unpausing the download usually helps me if my downloads hang up. Seems to work for me. Either way, the patch s gonna be slow.

How do i pause and unpause its saying updating file but it wont start countdown or time

Select it from your "notifications" menu, find the update file, and press x to pause/unpause

Considering that alot of people are downloading the patch, plus the fact psn is fubar, means that this patch is gonna take awhile. Mine jumped from 9 mins to 32 hours then down to 15 mins.

A lot of people say that the pause/ unpause thing doesnt work but my download will literally get to a point where it says (for example) 17.432 / 19.146 and will stay 17.432 for 15 mins.. Literally wont move not even a single kb. When I do the pause trick it definitely gives it the kick it needs because it will suddenly start again.

Should never be this slow, not for what I pay for a connection, haha.

Yeah my patch seems to be slowly moving at 14.133/19.146GB ....i tried pause/resume but it did not change the speed for me. The download says 22 hours remaining, I wonder if it is because of the volume of downloads? I did a speed test and I'm sitting at 55mB/s WHILE downloading this patch, so it must be a server bandwidth problem. Makes me think because everyone is downloading right now that the server cannot handle it.

ZOS, have any ideas?

I first heard about the pause/unpause trick on reddit about a year ago, and so far it has worked for me. I don't know what it is about psn, but it's crap when it comes to downloading anything. I still remember the 12 hour download for DC Universe Online XD.

Yeah, pretty much since people will be patching all day, you can expect alot of traffic slowing the dl to a crawl.
