After this patch what game would you play?

The patch is forcing your hand to get the New Imperial City or you will not be able to farm up the materials to craft your gear to VR16 and you cant find VR16 gear out side of Imperial City. So if you have to pay more for this game to stay current, would you stay or go to another game?

Who said you can't find VR16 gear outside of IC.. it's called guild traders. If you enjoy playing a game then you should be willing to pay for it.

This is mmo life my friend. Can't expect vanilla gear to be relevant forever .

Either sub up , buy dlcs or stagnate that's the way of mmos . Without progression it's just another multi-player game

You can find V15-16 gear by running group dungeons at V15-16 and by deconning the decon junk from the Undaunted chests.

You can also farm gold instead and buy the mats from guild stores.

What you *can't* get without IC are the BoP sets from the new dungeons, but I don't think they are must-have in most cases. There are alternatives.

This whole poll is hyperbole, you're not forced to go to IC at all, you can buy the new gear from other players, you can get the resources and motifs you need for the new gear from other players, you don't need to go to IC at all unless you're obsessed with farming your own stuff.

Once Fallout 4 , and Bloodborne dlc hits in November this gets put on the back burner.

My vote has noting to do with the patch. I have been waiting for the next Fallout for a long time. Overall i think ESO is a great game. Like most MMOs, it's a perpetual work in progress. I think the mission statement for MMOs is "You cant make everyone happy". I got IC because it was a nice addition to the PVP aspect. But to put this game up against Fallout? Yeah, for me, ESO will lose every time. But they are two completely different games after all.

Your information on the poll is totally incorrect as others have pointed out.

The mats are just as easily farmed in existing V15/16 scaled dungeons.

The new mini-sets at V16 also drop in existing dungeons.

Monster shoulders come from gold keys.... most BiS monster sets are existing ones (Engine Guardian... Nerien'eth... Valkyn.... Blood Spawn).

Other very strong sets are craftable.... why do you think SO many people are making Kagrenacs Hope all of a sudden!

Nothing to do with the patch too, but I'm a big fan of Halo and an even bigger one of Fallout that come soon after so I will stop fully playing ESO when they're out.

But I will probably play more again with Worthgar.

So what you are saying for the people that is able to play in IC or have the money to pay for it they should be able to make more money in the game, right? So what I am getting from what you are saying if you are able to spend more money in real life you deserve more gold in game.

I have the IC patch and also a ESO Plus members but I know people that don't have the money to spend on DLC's.

So you put WoW in there, a game that has sold every single expansion so far for 10 years running and prevents you from gaining the new stuff unless you buy said xpacs, because ESO does partially lock some of the new equipment behind the DLC but still allows you to farm new material and craft sets or buy the new BoE sets even without the DLC?

Die off? I don't know where you have been looking, but good mmo's don't usually die off. In fact in general they last much longer than games that are not mmo's. When you say 'screw all the noobs' I guess you are talking about the game economy, they will no doubt be happy that they can get the gear.

It beats the hell ut of WoW where their expansions completely lock you out of the end game if you don't buy them. With WoW expansions they always add levels and you can't gain those new levels unless you have the expansion. Now that's gating.

I will be trying to play ESO.....when my spells want to work that is.... I could never go back to WoW from ESO. The combat here is so much better and actually requires you to be something other than a magical mannaquin....

Going to wait and see. I am a bit tired of doing the same quests over and over with the only thing changing is the game mechanics. Not a big fan of major changes to playstyle and gear. I know its a relearn to replay issue, but I enjoy learning how to play and having that be a good way to play 3 months from now.

Battlefront does look pretty cool, but I may just go back to some older titles like dragon age or shadows of mordor.

You forgot Neverwinter on your list..I know it isn't the greatest, but it is one of the few choices we have for console MMO's right now and overall it is a decent game. At least the combat is one of the best I have seen in a MMO.

As mentioned repeatedly in this thread.... THE NEW MATS DROP IN EXISTING DUNGEONS..... THE NEW VALUABLE SETS (WIllpower etc) ALSO DROP IN EXISTING DUNGEONS!

IC has cost me gold... not really made it. I made my millions in the base game, and it's where I continue to make money.

TBH new players have far more ways of making gold now then we ever did back at launch.

I'm going back to minecraft until fallout 4 and then no mans sky,i'm more angry at the lack of text chat but it does tie in to the imperial city as i would have bought it had i a reliable way to communicate with others on console that isn't a mic.

If EA wasn't publishing battlefront 3 i'd be all over it but,i can not trust that company not to fill its games with overpriced dlcs and microtransactions(in retail games lmao,my have times changed)
