    The percentrage mitigation formula is

    Mitigation % = Armour*(1-Penetration) / (Level*10) - Attacker Focus / (Level*10) -0.12*Spell Erosion

Spell Erosion and Piercing are interchangable. Examples of penetration are Sharpened and Nirnhoned. Attacker focus has a base of 100 and you add skills that say increase spell/armour penetration. Spell Erosion or Piercing are in the champion point system.

Given your example and assuming the attacker has no focus and no points in Spell Erosion your mitigation and that you are V16. Your physical and spell mitigation would be 45% and 48%, respectively.

Block will reduce reduce the mitigated damage by at least 50%. At least because you may have other skills/passives that increase your block mitigation.

So for a simple example say you got hit by an attack that does 1000 raw physical damage. Your 30k physical resistance would drop it down to 550. Blocking it would reduce it further to 275.
