Magicka NB Healer or Tank

Looking for some advice. I'm not at endgame yet but wondering about some of the effective math on this.

If any of you were to make a NB healer or NB tank, both magicka, which would you prefer as passive. 3000 spell resistance OR 2016 fire resistance + 6% stamina. My biggest wonder is the comparison of 3k spell resistance vs 2k fire resistance. I don't know the damage mitigation formula so I don't know which one would be better and how they scale. As well as how much of each you can stack with ease. Keep in mind I'm thinking about going vampire. the 6% stamina would just be a boost for general use, or if I decide to use S&B either tanking or in PVP as a healer.

Let me know what you all think. Please state which is better for what role and why. Thank you.

Honostly i would say overall resistance is better than just one kind of resist to a damage source. Also, i would not recommend vamp for a tank. Healer maybe but not a tank.

You maybe also want to check this channel out.

This is the leader (I believe?) of HODOR the top EU PVE guild for Ebonheart Pact, he plays a Nightblade tank.

I couldn't comment on magicka NB tanks from personal experience, but I'll pass along what I've heard.

I've tanked as a low level Sorc, but wasn't happy with it. It felt like a 1 button wonder. Definitely a decent tank, but to play it how I wanted to, I would have had to double bar 3 skills, which only left me 2 button spaces on each bar and that got boring fast. I've also tanked as a Templar and didn't enumerated the lack of CC.

What I've heard for NB tanks is basically that they are second best behind DKs, but I'm sure it will depend on what you want out of a tank for playstyle reasons. It seems Temps are the off-healer tanks, DKs are the CC tanks, Sorcs are the pet and bubble tanks, and NBs are the resource management tanks with a little bit of off-healing and debuffs.

For NB healers, I can help you a bit. I have one and love it. I can keep everyone alive easily in pre-veteran content while doing some solid damage at the same time. I haven't tested whether cloak will work to get aggro off myself in trash pulls, but I've heard it can, which would be amazing. I know it won't work with most bosses because they can see right through it.
