Racial passives should be customizable... Never too much customization in an mmo

Yes, race based passives should be customizeable and not based on race at all.

You do know that this is a fantasy game.... Right? Sorcerers do not actually exist... Neither do dragons... so spare me the realism speech...

Realism? It's called design cupcake. Certain races are better at certain things and have certain qualities. Period.

Nah. The font is just fine the way it is.

They really need to have less of an impact on playstyle... A 3.2k magicka difference between an Altmer/Breton sorc vs any other race is too extreme and the gap will only grow as our gear and stats get better. Racials are ok, but currently they impact and pigeonholed the way you should play and spec your character too much

If that's the case, why not force sorcerers to use staffs? For the sake of customization right? So that is OK to be customized, but not passives? GOH

Great, another "I wanna cherry-pick my passives" thread...
TES games -always- had racial passives that made some races better at some things then other races. To change that would mean breaking with TES design, which would *** off a lot of the people who care here for the TES design.

Now... exactly how much difference the passives make, that can be argoued about and rebalanced. Personally I wouldn't mind them getting tweaked all ov er the board, as long as they remain "TES style"...

I see you fail to realize despite being an mmo this is still a part of TES series.

in the TES series, you could dual wield with a sorc power in one hand, and a weapon in the next...there were no weapon and class abilities...there were no ultimates...but this is an mmo...so they had to change the way they did that...get it now? so customizable racial passives is one more thing they needed to do to transition into an mmo, but they havent done it yet

You also fail to recognize that past TES games also had racial perks. For example, Altmer in Skyrim had extra Max Magicka at the start.

Khajiit had night vision and Bosmer had an animal taming ability, to name a couple. Clearly ZOS has changed things to better fit an MMO. ZOS has taken some pretty big liberties with the passives. Imperial passives aren't even close to resembling previous TES games.

The passives system in ESO is just plain bad and imbalanced.

If you wish to name everything off Khajiit also got a bonus to unarmed combat and Argonians got auto-waterbreathing.

It would be convenient that way. But please don't, that would be very weird to see Nords with magic talent while high elves have cold resistance.

Yes, they did. Google "unarmed combat bonus Skyrim." It was less than the Khajiit, but they had a bonus.

"Men and Mer have a base damage of 4, while racial abilities give Khajiit characters 15 additional damage and Argonian characters 10 additional damage in unarmed combat. This does not include the 6 additional damage they hold in the code, giving Argonians a base damage of 20 and Khajiit a base of 25."

Well I only used an Argonian at first for the Waterbreathing lol honestly never used Khajiit at all but I knew of their unarmed bonus.
