Vamp questions for PC players

I'm on PS4 but wondering a couple things about vampire changes post IC patch.

1)The patch notes said they tweaked Invigorating drain. I attempted to use this on my stamblade because it seemed like a decent heal/ultimate gain, but it seemed pretty much worthless since it wouldn't work on CC immune targets. Since this was apparently fixed, has anyone been using this more?
Also the tooltip says it is magicka damage...so does that mean it scales off magicka and more effective on a magicka build vs a stam build?

2) The same goes for Bat Swarm. Does it do more damage on a Magicka build, or does it just scale off of whichever stat is higher (Mag vs Stam)?

I just started a new Magicka NB toon and weighing out whether vamp is a good way to go. I had mixed feeling about it on my stamina build.

1) Sorry I can't say 100% sure but in theory all magicka attacks are Spell Damage / Spell Crit based.

2) Ultimates use whichever is the highest values of Spell Damage / Weapon Damage and Spell Crit / Weapon Crit.
