I have 1 of each class and i have played both stamina and magicka on all my characters.
My biggest issue with the game right now is the gear that is made available to each spec is wildly unbalanced at low VR levels.
This balance is brought closer together around vr6 at which point magicka builds gain access to certain sets with more spell dmg to level the playing field.
Heres an example:
Stamina builds (ill use my VR1 dk as an example)
I was able to purchase a 5 pc hunding rage from the vendors
and a 4 pc ravager from the pvp vendors in cyrodil
Just with those 2 sets + Rally(weapon dmg buff) my dk has just under 2k weapon dmg.
Magicka builds(ill use my VR1 sorc as an example)
So here it gets a little more complicated when looking for spell dmg.
Probably the best set is Adroitness since the 2pc gives spell dmg as well as the Song of lamae which has a nice 3pc spell dmg
however with the lack of pvp purchased gear available to VR1 with spell dmg on it makes magicka builds fall behind.
we only get access to cyrodils light 2pc ring set at vr6.
due to this my magicka builds tend to only be able to get to about 1300-1400 spell dmg at vr1.
I think it would be interesting to add maybe a Neck and Resto/destro staff for VR1 that could be part of the same set which the 2pc would give spell dmg to even out the playing field for gear available to each spec.
I am open to any and all critism about why this would be a good or bad idea. Or maybe if something else can be done?
