Morning,

Was just wondering this, how much damage does thing actually do? It states it does 11350 on arrival but after that how much dps does it actually do when zapping enemies? Not stated on the skill lines.

    11350 on arrival ? This is what the tooltip says ? Impossible. I am a full damage build, and mine does a bit over 7000. Please show me a screenshot of your Atronach doing 11k damage on tooltip

    And after it's arrival, it doesn't deal much damage. With daedric prey, it's like 1.5kish dps, so not worth taking over other ultimates. And this only goes for pve, in pvp it's trash. Waiting for Atronach buffs since release, nothing, even after several feedback reports and threads. This Ultimate will always remain a waste of skillpoints, ultimate energy and time.

    yea uselles, better trow Meteors or overload right in the face to DKs ;)

    Yeah, I kinda find the Atronach more of a nuisance than an "Oh crap, I need to quickly react to this ultimate" type situation. I think I read somewhere the zap is like 1.3k per tick, but in reality with resistances, shields and all that it will be far less.

    Soul assualt for me does more damage to kill an enemy. I only use Attronach if I am using pets.

    Really love meteors thrown at me...got the "Sweet Vengeance"-achievment with a nighblade's meteor :D

    On console it's a bit hard to post screenshots, full DPS build with everything into spell damage, Meteor does 42k something instant damage, don't really use the atronarch as always thought it was bit of a waste of time, just curious is all.

    Overload is pants, light attacks constantly lock off the enemy and go nowhere, also a pain when the ultimate doesn't quite run out and then glitches back and forth trying to toggle off. Meteor it will stay as then,

    This depends on your max magicka, more max magicka = more damage but I dont have exact numbers. You can use Daedric Prey (daedric curse morph) to increase the damage of the Storm Atronach by 55%.

    Also the Greater Storm Atronach (best morph imo) deals more damage with the zap, the other morph has an AOE attack.

    The only real benefit of this particular Ult is in circumstances where your prey remains mobile.

    With passives maxed, it has a pretty healthy range and will track targets.

    While things like Meteor/Dawnbreaker will hit harder, especially with the DoT, they do remain in one location.

    It's rarely going to save you, just give you some time to recover and take the focus off of you.

    It's still a personal favorite to drop it in someone's lap on a keep wall or high point they're certain is inaccessible.

    Earn it.

    Probably has checkbox on Customer Service profile that say High Aggro, 99% immunity to BS

    Meteor does not do 42k instant damage. That would 1 shot just about everybody..... depending on your build its between 6-9k roughly.

    Overload is the most powerful single target ultimate in the game. With a good build a Sorc can pull 30-40k DPS for close to a minute with a full charge of overload!

    It's DPS god-mode..... but yes, does require careful aiming. Thankfully most bosses aren't mobile enough to make this a problem. And in PvP those who dodge etc can rightfully dodge it. Those who stand there and let it hit them get fried... the way it should be.

    For that kind of DPS I can live with the toggle bug at the end. ;)

    But back on topic... yes, having meteor instead of Atro is a very good idea! :)

    It was good in the early days of PvP on console, just for the drop in stun. Now 90% of players are VR14 and geared up. Your Atronach might as well be a feather duster.

    I use it all the time in 1vX. Just take them to a small hallway and drop it. Streak through them with mines and proxy det. Within 10 seconds you get your Dawnbreaker and you smack them with it. Goodnight.

    It might not do tons of damage, but it puts constant pressure on someone in 1v1 and in 1vX it takes a lot of damage for you if they aren't tab-targeting and in small areas it's a nuisance for other players. Plus, the initial CC/AoE is nice.

    Actually, I use the Summoned Charged Atronach as my primary Ultimate for soloing Group Bosses and it has yet to fail me. Combined with Unstable Clannfear, it allows me to stay ranged and mobile while the Charged Atronach and Clannfear do the tanking. I will switch to Meteor once I get my Mages Guild leveled, but until then- as a Stamina Sorc- the Charged Atronach does its job well enough.
