Wish I could keep these effects you find on some quests on my characters.....they looks so awesome and hardly any armor in the game have really cool effects or even look cool....

Maybe a toggle option to keep effects you can unlock through playing the game, questing, achievements etc etc ZOS?

I wish I could have kept all the awesome gear I've collected over the past year. All the trial sets, unique 5 piece and 3 piece armour and weapon sets. Some of them looked really cool, we'll have to see what happens to them when they remove VR's I guess. Would be good to see some variation between players armour.

They have said that they plan to implement some sort of gear level system. This would mean that sub v16 gear would still be inferior.

Wish I could have kept all my diguises and all my trophys, but in lack of bankspace and the necessity to abuse toons as bank chars I destroyed almost all of them.

Two things that this game needs desperately:

    1. A wardrobe system a la LOTRO (https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Wardrobe) for disguises etc.
    2. A transmog system a la WoW (http://wow.gamepedia.com/Transmogrification) for changing the appearance of armour.

Or maybe go a different way mixing the two by making a right click option to convert armour and gear into appearance only armour and gear which can be stored in a wardrobe and put into a second set of slots that override the appearance of the armour you are wearing.

I would be more than happy to pay a substantial amount in crowns to unlock features like these.

Of course, 3 would be the better option. 1 and 2 were only examples of existing systems to give an idea of what functionality is needed. But then again, even number 3 is practically copying the way other games do it, there's very little that hasn't already been done nowdays in the world of mmo's.

I toggle option would be nice and it would give people reasons to unlock them by having to explore the world more..

I had a similar thought a while ago... about adding aura-type effects to the crown store to put in your costume slot... which might include the "glowy essence balls" type...

I would rather earn them or unlock them doing in game deeds in game around all parts of the game than just buy them from the crown store...kinda sad achievement points in ESO count for pretty much nothing except titles no one cares about and dyes...

Would make the whole thing pointless, I would never waste real money on this.

One thing I miss about DCUO is the style lock :(

Essentially I equip whatever gear I want for stat purposes, but can pick and chose how my character looks from any style I've collected.

Translation: Let me equip Vx gear, but let me make it look like l16 gear.

    Please and thank you.

That works in a superhero game, where your looks is more your "costume" and your gear more your "power", which may or may not actualy be gear based in lore...

In a fantasy game though, all your gear should be gear...

    That stated...

It -would- be nifty to keep all the costumes just for non-combat roleplaying reasons, and make all the current "armor costumes" obsolete by allowing recrafting the armor style to any look, including low level looks. Let it cost a lot, I'd happily quest to gather the bits if I could make the "perfect look" for my characters regardless of item sets...

Adding something to the game that would make old zones worth going to like this with hard challenges not wrappeda round in RNG or grinding or crazy amounts of mats would be cool.

^^This. There is absolutely no reason not to take advantage of functioning systems from other games.
-I cannot see why using square wheels, because the round one was already invented. Yeah. Clever.
