But it isn't and hasn't been in any previous Elder Scrolls game so to do it now would disrupt said theme.

Would it be terribly immersion breaking to have cool down timers for skills displayed the same as the potion cooldown or the ultimate charge? It is evident that incrementally highlighting (or dehighlighting) a slot is already in the games design. Numbers could be displayed in a history menu just like the guild history? With categories such as damage taken/damage inflicted/damage mitigated/ healing bestowed. Could be tied into a trade history menu that would show who, what, and where you traded. This could deter scamming potentially as well.
Though I openly admit I feel there are more pertinent issues zos should address, this is still something that I feel should be looked into. I think I'll end my rambling ideas on that note.
Apparently ESO players don't want quantitative data in their game, yet become math experts whenever CP is mentioned.
Numbers and no numbers. Schrödinger's Khajiit.

No they want it, hence all the add-ons on PC. Personally, I think they're spoiled because I do just fine without all these "conveniences".

And what if a skill used by someone else or a debuff nullifies the effects of the skill you used thus rendering this inaccurate? Also the cooldown bit for consumables is in place to show how long until you can use it again period.
Almost the entire game is based around numbers...armor, damage, skill points, resistance, percentiles, ect. Numbers are what we use to scale our character. So to not have a countdown or damage pop up is just stupid. There should be an option to turn these things off or on. Simple as that. If u don't want them...then turn it off. But the fact is that this should be an option that should have been in the game from the beginning.
Thanks for all the comments and hopefully ZOS gets it straightened out soon.

If we do that, can we get some more basic TES elements in the game? Right now they seem to be taking a backseat to typical MMO features (UI excluded).if they were going to join the MMO world, they at LEAST should have put in the BASIC MMO stuff.....you know, the stuff that we have been using and used too for years.....
