Level 25 on stam nb and I've been using 2h since level 1.. still no self healing. Momentum/Rally isn't until rank 38 in the 2h skill tree. You then look at the general magicka alternatives - Grand Healing (rank 2), Regeneration (rank 4), and Steadfast Ward/Healing Ward (rank 20). But for stam grinding, your only real option is to keep popping pots or wait for rank 38. I've been spending a lot of time in Cyrodiil to try and get Vigor (and because I enjoy pvp anyway), but the Alliance skill tree moves really, really slow, which is fine if I had something less useful to heal myself in the meantime. I sometimes get so annoyed with the lack of healing I gain Vampirism just for drain essence, but I don't want to do that, nor do I want to wield a staff as a stam build just to get heals early on in the game.
I'd really like to see some kind of healing added at rank 12-15 in 2h skill tree, or even in sword&board. Doesn't have to be significant, just something to get by until Vigor can be unlocked.

Oh come on
Option 1: You can slot dual wield on your second bar. first skill (blood craze) together with two-handed first skill (Brawler) gives you more heal+shield than you would need at your level.
Option 2: Level you Mages Guild skill line. Level 4 gives you Degeneration, another strong heal at that level.
Option 3: As you are NB, just use funnel health to get another heal over time.
Option 4: Vampirism is actually the worst option you have. not much heal, nearly no damage. Only good thing is the ultimate, and there you have soul tether.
Also Killer's Blade heals for 25% of max health on kill.

Yeah, I went with swallow soul for the extra healing, but it doesn't seem to do a whole lot. It's pretty much there to level the siphon tree and the magicka flood passive. Rally is useful because you can use it while running to your next fight. Swallow soul you have to be in a fight to get a minimum amount of health back, and you tend to lose it quicker than it recovers anyway. Not saying it's useless, just not what I was initially after.
You can level a skill line to 40 stupidly quick.
Add as many skills to your bar as you can for turning in quests.
Smash out as many quests as you can.
Have training on your weapon, make it purple.
I get a weapon skill from 4 to 40 in about 5 hours of hardcore questing.
