Champion Points - Ritual Constellation - Bug - Mighty Not Working?

This is in regards to The Ritual constellation, adding into Mighty, which increases physical damage.

My weapon damage 2976. When I add 1 champion point, it states a .2% increase in physical damage. Doing the math, 2976 * .02% = 6 weapon damage. After placing the point, i should see 2982 weapon damage, when in fact I see no change at all. This has been the case for the past 10 or 15 champion points placed into The Ritual.

Is physical damage different from weapon damage? What exactly is physical damage while on the subject. Using extended stats, there is no stat labeled as physical damage. Stats I could see this being are:

-Attack Power
-Armor Penetration
-Weapon damage

None of which increase when placing this champion point. Is this a bug? Or am I misunderstanding.

Any input would be appreciated.

The bonus is applied to the damage dealt and is not visible on your character sheet. The only way to test it is to hit a particular enemy and record the damage and then add a champion point and repeat the procedure. I'm guessing you're on PC since you mentioned Harven's Extended Stats this means you can get a combat log to test this out.

Physical Damage is the effect of some spells and most melee abilities. Physical damage from abilities is increased by adding to mighty. Weapon damage and max stamina also effect the total physical damage of a skill or ability. Weapon damage will not increase by adding to mighty, only the ability itself. Also points into mighty add to a total multiplyer that is then multiplied against the Abilities physical damage.

    Example: (not actual numbers)

You have 10 points into mighty which increases your physical damage by 3%. Your base physical damage for a skill is 1000. When mighty is added you end up with an ability that does 1030 physical damage. 1000×.03=30, 1000+30=1030.
