Imperial City Reward chest bugged?

So finally went to open some bone shard chests (having collected 180 shards)
Here's what I got from my random assignment (2 items each time).
Everyone else in my group also got Xivkyn boots and a bad trait sword, greatsword or bow.
Why is this all that is dropping tonight is everyone just cursed with horrible RNG or is the drop bugged after a suspected hidden nerf to ring drop rates?
@ZOS_GinaBruno can you solve this mystery for us?
P.s from 2 dark ether keys I opened I recieved, 1 Willpower sword without motif and a 4th Xivkyn boots and ... Bow... as per the standard drop now.
Sad to see all the effort wasted and everyone who I played with who has opened a chest within the last day has said the same thing. Just coincidence?

Back at launch I got 3 precise willpower swords in a row, and 2 of those 3 also had the Xivkyn glove motif with them. Can't complain too much, precise willpower swords are pretty good for magikca users. Lately ive just been getting bad set/weapon combos all together (WTS Enduring Lightning Staff, Agile Resto Staff and Bow of Willpower, all powered trait).0 -

I also got 3 xivkyn boots in a row.
What I believe is happening is that the seed which determines chest RNG is not being refreshed between chest opens (or even longer parts of playing and possibly players entire time while playing).
Players have noticed interesting patterns with loot in other areas of the game and even with Dolmen boss spawns. These vault chests seem no different.

As much as I want to just think that "rng is rng", I also know that one reason humans exist as a successful species is because of their adept pattern recognition. I really think that something is going on with RNG in this game and that, in turn, is causing stale drops for players. Can you please look into how RNG is seeded for this game? I don't expect an explanation about how it works, but I think a caution on how we can reset our seed would help us avoid stale drops etc.
We shouldn't, en masse, be getting the same vault items, the same vet dungeon 3 piece sets, the same dolmen generals, and the same monster trophies over and over and over.Edited by Personofsecrets on September 12, 2015 11:06AM1 -
