This^. Sorc Pet build is vibing right now.The changes look pretty promising. I'm just putting the final touches on my new gear, then I'll be able to do some runs to figure out what works best. I plan to update my pet build in the coming weeks.
My only real beef with my Sorc/Pet build (on console) is that there is no function for ordering your pets to attack. It's a bit irritating that I have to draw the aggro in order for my pets to know that they should be doing their duty.

How did the curse change hurt pet spec? didnt it get a 35% dmg buff?
Run mage light and stack crit as high as you can and do some dmg parses to see what works best for you and your gear,
not saying it's the best sorc spec possible but if you want some meat sheilds between you and mobs rather than being the punching bag for a thousand hours,,, then this is your choice and with the new gear I'm sure it can do very decent numbers in the new dungeons.
If anyone knows how to control or order the pets around please tell people because I'm sure it would help people.
Playing in IC my pets die quite fast, even clanfear. I feel they need to add a healing mechanic to the damage we do to our pets to help them survive a bit like with the expert summoner passive.
I don't particularly like pets because its a toggle and requires to be on all weapon bars which is incredibly limiting to other options. Actually I hate toggles and find the design redundant now.
Also the damage they do isn't worthwhile either, even with Daedric prey. My winged twilight dies incredible fast which I think is a problem since it doesn't really do better damage either.
Atronach is the only worthwhile pet.
I guess the problem with pets is that ZoS has turned them into a swarm mechanic rather then a function. Clanfear should be a hefty tank with a gap closer and some bleeds, Winged twilight needs to do more then just zap mobs like a bug zapper, and the scamp should do some AoE casting spells.
I really don't see them as pets as more disposable spells.
