Prismatic Weapon Quest (Fighter's Guild)

When is the best time (level/VR Rank) to complete the Fighter's Guild questline, in order to get the most out of your prismatic weapon? I've heard VR12, but wasn't sure if that has changed with any recent patches.

FYI the new essence rune available in the IC creates a prismatic glyph for your weapon when combined with a reduction rune. An additive rune gives the tri-stat glyph for armor.

Unless you love the idea of doing the FG quest line with two VR characters so you can dual wield two VR12 Prismatic Blades upgraded to gold for a combined 1980 magic damage...

It's still advantageous to do FG and MG quest line as a vet for easy XP sources, but not particularly advantageous for the rewards themselves.

I know main quest rewards now scale to V16, but I don't know if any of the weapons, or if the guild quests do.

I think the max lvl for that item is v12.

I waited until I was VR16 to hand this quest in.

Trait Precise-Increase weapon and spell critical values by 6%
Part of Orgnum's Scales Set (craftable)

The item is bound when you get it, so, selling to another player isn't an option...it's a decent weapon while you hunt down VR16 mats or you could turn the quest in early if you want a weapon while you level your vet ranks. I preferred the VR16 version as crafting VR1-14 gear is simple-mats everywhere..VR16 are not (at least not until the next DLC).

I finished he FG quest last fortnight and can also confirm I have got the VR16 Purple destructive staff ( fire ) with the same stats as CravenWaffles bow above. It does not need a recharge ever so no soul gem required.

While its Necroed tho be cool of they made the weopon drop Sharpened as it would be a viable weapon in a non set piece 5:2:3 setup saving a Hakeijero (sp!)
