Hello community, I have a question, since the v2.1.4 update I have a drop of 8-10 FPS before the penultimate update did not have this problem, my question is, someone else happens this or is it just me? at first I thought it was my time or my server PC Internet, but before play well now became unplayable, my PC configuration is i5K, VGA 3GB, 8GB RAM, 240GB SSD: I do not think it's my pc because from April that was playing with 55 fps stable, now I go to the game and explore a while and I low 8-10 fps, please anyone has any solution to this problem?

The patch has caused the same problem for me. Makes combat very frustrating. I'd like ZoS to respond to this.

I wasn't having a problem with this game until the mini patch earlier this week, I started getting lag spikes and big fps drops in areas that shouldn't even be putting my system on it's knees where it had no problem before. These fps drops going from 40fps+ to 16-20fps.

    This is with a i7 3770k and GTX 980.

I have a similar problem, and when the game is bugged like this it affects the entire PC, i.e. at the moment trying to type this is quite the challenge (good second or so delay between typing and the characters appearing).

Usually, fps is between 45-60. And for some reason it drops to 8-10. Sometimes zoning fixes it (sometimes), sometimes falling in battle does, sometimes. Usually the client needs to be restarted.

Has anyone worked out a workaround for this whilst Zenimax tried to figure out the problem? it seems lowering ones graphics settings has no affect.
If you can be anything, be kind.

I will start looking at memory on the graphics card myself as well as ram.
Windows UI deterioration over time would imply graphics card overload for me.
As video quality changes doesnt really appear to make a difference.
    Performance degrades over time too.
/reloadui also appears to reset both the latency & fps issue, although only for a short time.
    GPU flush ?

I normally see ESO latency meter start going nuts at the same time as fps dropping.
I guess the trick is figuring out how server combat calcs can impact on graphics or vice versa.
Perhaps the client wont play an effect until a hit has been acknowledged.
So rather than a smooth flow of graphics...the graphics card gets a burst of instructions all at the same time as and when hits are acknowledged via network.

Graphics effects can be run on card or run on cpu at game designers discretion.
You would think CPU based graphics use ram as opposed to vram.
Time to load up gpu-z I think.

For me waiting for server response to initialize combat effects will create burst video performance.
It would be better to assume all attacks hit as requested as far as video is concerned (GCD client based) rather than wait for the server (no cooldown burst).
But leave the actual combat calculations to be corroborated by the server.
This removes server latency based burst FPS issues.

I will dig a lot deeper anyway and see if my theory is right.
When you think about casting skills when the server lags out...and nothing happens...you have to ask why the skill isn't graphically firing regardless (light/heavy/movement still work).
AoE use has a much more devastating effect on the FPS than the single target skills and basic attacks.

hello all guys. after a day of testing with several options could solve the problem of falling FPS so far, some of the things that change the recommendation of some players were:

Remove MiniMap complement (particularly used very little or nothing)

Remove accessories from the addons folder no longer used

    Upgrade many of my ons

Delete the file in Documents ShaderCache.cooked / Elder Scrolls Online / Live (Live or EU)

Modify the SET RequestedNum in UserSettings.txt being as follows:

    SET RequestedNumJobThreads "0"
    SET RequestedNumWorkerThreads "0"

Modify the LuaMemory he had in "64" and change it to "128" being as follows:

    SET LuaMemoryLimitMB "128"

Also some minimal adjustments in the graphics, well ...

(Nose which of these things was the cause of my FPS drop in my pc but I've been playing 16 hours since I made these steps and is normally running at 55-60fps. I decided to put this to any player if you can serve and It may help as I helped my recover some lost fps upgrade from v2.1.4)

PS: I want to thank all the men and women who gave their time and help me here in the forum and also within the game and luckily I could solve my problem, and that can only thank them, a huge greetings to all, good luck and see you in the lands of Tamriel ...
