Leaderboard rewards

With the first round set and done, I'd love to figure oiut what is available as leaderboards.
Let me start: PvP 7-day losing alliance top-2% bracket.
As expected, one golden item. Got a V16 juggernaut piece (BoE)
What about others? What about winning alliance? What about trial leaderboards?
I will later edit this post and compile table with what is reported

1) pvp yields higher quality rewards of the worth stuff
2) trial leaderboards still give the same old v14 crap.
thus, it seems no v16 master weapons will be available out of the DSA weely. And it seems that PvP rewards have been changed. Anyone got a master weapon from PvP?

✭✭Finished 12th in Thornblade on AD side, unfortunately in the 3-10% bracket based on the smaller number of players there. Got a v16 set of Desert Rose Epaulets. Earlier received Robe of the Desert Rose at v16 in rewards for the worthy, sold it for 75k in guild store.- PC/NA

I honestly wish this was the way the game worked.
All items drop at level 50 / VR1
To increase an item past that level you need stones (maybe the current crafting materials?) which are tired to areas.
VR2 zones drop VR2 upgrades, VR3 drop VR3 etc.
This way each release of new content the gear would increase in VR levels but the players could remain the same. Additionally this way we could do away with having items not at the VR level you want being in the game, but players would have to play new content to get the items to increase their power.
This would also add more demand on the lower level materials and zones as well, also becoming a nice boon to crafters who could maybe do it to non-bound items at discounted costs in materials. You could even charge scaling trait stones into the mix having a VR16 item require the cost in metal and say 16x the trait stone (this would hurt Nirnhoned item A LOT as a note on why it's bad) increasing the demand and value on these worthless items.
The biggest issue I see with this is how they would balance the games content, would each area have to scale based on VR gear or would each area have a set level you must match to enter.
Both of which add the horrible gear level drama from other MMO games.
