Sharing quests in Imperial City

Is it possible? It seems that IC is best played in a group..... and we sometimes play just 2, but more often more. But 'share the quest' doesn't seem to function. So we are all doing slightly different things sort of together and trailing round IC to cover three or four different quests.
I accept that we might be pressing the wrong buttons, but none of us can do it.
Is this a common malfunction?

There are 3 different types of quests in IC:

• The "plant the flag" quests - your best bet is to quickly do all 6 of these, hopping right back into your base immediately after each one (and not speaking to the quest giver up where you plant the flag), and then move on to start doing:
• The Imperial City storyline district quests - these are each one-time quests that you acquire up in the districts where you plant your flags. If someone has already done one of these quests, you can't share it with them. If someone has a different one of these quests active, you can't share it with them unless they abandon the one they have active. Once you've completed all of these (really there are 7: 1 for each of the 6 districts, and 1 for the sewers and *redacted for spoilers*) then you move on to start doing:
• The district daily quests - these can be done each day, and only if you have already completed the whole IC storyline. If someone has not completed the storyline, you can't share these quests with them. If someone has already completed that daily on that day, you can't share that quest with them. If someone has a different district's daily active, you can't share this quest with them unless they abandon the one they have active.

So your best bet is to go in as a group and do each district's quests together as a group, before moving on to the next district. If some people have completed the story and others haven't, let the ones who haven't completed it pick which district they need, and then those who have completed it can pick up the daily for the same district - I've been in a group where we were doing this and making sure to help each other complete both the story quest and the daily quest at the same time, and it worked pretty well.

ty, after playing there for a few more times we all finally 'got it'
- didn't think I would like pvp but..... damn thats fun!!

Yeah, I'm definitely in the PVE crowd, without much interest in PVP, but I've been enjoying the hell out of Imperial City so far. Even if I do occasionally get ganked, run over by a zerg, or just out-fought in a fair PVP battle (I win some of those too though).
