For the second week in a month, we have not been able to put a bid in on a trader due to UI errors.
This UI error was present for the 2 guild masters who were putting the bid in. Every time either one of us tried to put in a bid, this UI error popped up giving us a blank screen after we hit "X". We dealt with this for 10 minutes, trying over and over unsuccessfully until reset.
This UI error MUST be fixed. Another week without a trader is going to be devastating to our membership.
Due to the way the guild trader bid system is structured, the bid must be done in the last minutes before reset. This is because any member can see the guild bank's gold contents, and what was bid and tell their other guild where their loyalties truly lie and the other guild can then steal the trader with minimal extra investment with this information from their spy. This is RAMPANT in the ESO community.
This unfair, unethical advantage must be stopped. Several other large guilds are in agreement with us. I propose a change to where only people who have the ability to bid on the trader for the guild can see the gold contents and the bid. There is no reason every member should be able to see this information.
Our Guild Trader activity in the last 4 weeks:
Week 1: UI error stopped us from getting a bid in
Week 2: Got trader
Week 3: Spy kept track of guild bank gold contents and bid and told his guild (who lost the trader to us a week ago) this information. We lost the trader. We caught him afterwards and he admitted to this.
Week 4: UI error stopped us from getting a bid in
What will be done about this?!
