My thoughts and information about IC (Spoilers)

This are my thoughts about IC from a Quester/PvEer perspective. I added some informations
i think might by useful to others.

Quests/Upper Town

The Quests are railroading at it's best. Or worst. At no point in the quest chain I had the feeling of
exploring or having a choice. You get a list of chores you have to work in a specific order. No
real story telling. A black board tells you where to go next. The quests itself are kind of boring, only
the threat of other players and the cool setting make them enjoyable.
All quests are more or less doable solo. Beside the arena, there you must have a group or you die.
Interesting thing is at some bosses we had mixed groups. There were reds(me), yellows and a lone blue
hacking at the same boss, trying to not hit each other. At least until the boss was down. After that
it was cautious retreat or ,in one case, direct attack. Questers(PVEer) tend to keep neutral.
Sorry for the yellow I killed, Jesus beam was aimed at that daedra, I swear...

The main NPC is an interesting one, not like the standard patriots or generals. Weird but I like her.
The ending of the quest line is a joke. Far too easy. Far too fast over. God idea with the ballistas, but
the rest is rather boring. And it is in a solo instance. So stack up with stones to get the multiplier!
Annoying is "talk to NPC" but not when she's there, but when she is down in the base.

After all was over I wanted to complete the map and activate one of the sewer entrances I missed.
Oh boy, what's that? Daily quests! If I wouldn't be a completionist I would have totally missed that.
There is no clue about that, and I don't remember reading anything about it.
Daylies are very short, but you get a small, unlootable stone box for it.

A word about gankers and griefers. Yes, there are many. Some roam the streets, some hide behind corners, some
camp at quest locations. They are annoying. Many of us questers store away stones when reaching 100 just to
not waste them on gankers. They aren't interested in those anyway, the just want to kill you.
Or as we say it in EVE Online: They don't want your money, they want your tears.

Oh, and there are skyshards. I think I got 1 in every town segment.

Trophy vaults... I got maybe 6 trophys of every kind. You need 60 to open them, so it's kind of a grind.
I don't think I will do that...

Monsters. Most are just bigger or stronger versions of known deadra. But some like those twilight thingies
are really nice things. They give good amounts of stones, too.
Town bosses are nasty thing. Big, strong, ugly, mean. Like world bosses. But this ones are roaming the streets
and are a pain to get down. Group or heavy DPS is needed. We took down the frost atronarch but it did
take a while.

Sewers:
Entrance to the sewers on the other side of the lake? Bad design...
Why not just a small camp with a boat like Malabal Tor/Tempest island? That would make more sense.

Travel hub in save areas. Convenient for questers to get there. Also for anybodey who seeks a shortcut for sewers.
You don't need to rush through them from one end to the other. Drop down from nobles district to "yellow" sewers
and be in their backs.

Many known deadra, some cool new world bosses. Look out for chests, they provide good loot and stones. Of course you
are a good target while kneeling down...

All sewers lead to the center where you can have a really good fight. You ned a big group though. And you might
have to fight other players as well. Center structure is one of the better areas. And you fight a Mini-Molag Bal.

No quests down there, but some skyshards.

General things:

Bugs. Lots of bugs. Especially the compass bugs out often and leads in the wrong direction. Use the map.
Lag. Lots of Lag. And Lagspikes when you really don't want them....

Setting is great. It resembles "Oblivion" design (the older ES game). Beside that it's looking good (as
good a town can look when hell invades your home). There are some flaws. Like the fishing spots don't fit in.
But in general I like it. Fire, smoke, rubble, daedra.

Easiest way to secure your stones? Die to mobs, respawn at "Release" point, drop down to main base
and bank them. Don't try to walk through town or sewers. You will most likely be ganked and loose all.

Zone changes leave you in a safe area. You can't be attacked, but can't attack either. Be careful, those
spots are often camped by gankers. Sewer entrances are not safe areas, so be even more careful.

Access to IC is free for all right now. The whole access rules are disabled now so all can
enjoy IC. That also means that Cyrodiil is almost empty. Depending on campaign it's heavy zerging
(main campaigns like Thornblade, Azura) or a bit more relaxed, but it's never easy or peaceful.

Water sources in IC. I found no water source in the water to get the alchemist water for Vet 15
potions. But there are a lot of bottles you can pick up. About a third contains water. Or to
be exact they contain "Lorkhans tears".

All deadra can drop trophys, collect them for the vaults.

Runes... Have not found any rune, yet. I guess they are in Tower or Prison.

IC promotes ganking and zerging. Even more than Cyrodiil.

Worth it?
Well, it depends on playing style. It's mostly PVP area. Gankers and zergers heaven. For PvE it's
not so good. It's not bad, but it's not really good either. Most people are
starved for content so they bought it anyway.
Are you into ...
PvP? Yes
pure PvE? No
PvE dungeons? Yes
Mixture? maybe
Grinder? maybe

If I hadn't all the useless crowns from the subscription I wouldn't have bought it.
And I can't really recommend it. Have those 20 bucks? Give it a try, but it's nothing
I would consider a must have. But I'm a PvE centered, cooperation seeking templar healer, carebear master race!
I guess it's more fun for PvPer for sure. But then they might not like the PvE parts...
Some have a blast in there, some not. I play it as long it's new but I think I get back to pledges in the long run.
Once I was a healer. Then I took a Wrobel to the knee.
