What was skyrim like during the third era second century?

ChuckBoris
Title pretty much self explanatory.
Im trying to create a character family which spans during the elder scrolls timeline but i cant figure out exactly what happens during 3E 200 and after.
I managed to find something on UESP but its mostly related to Cyrodiil.
Was during that time skyrim ruled by a High King or was it under the Empire?
Sorry if my questions are silly i never really studied lore much but im interested in this.

Another period of lost history. It probably was a great period with lots of awesome dwemer ruins to go poking around in. And the Falmer were probably most likely in Polyester leisure suits doing Disco Showdowns.

It's tail end of the 2nd Era before Talos/Tiber Septim forms the Empire.

There's a timeline someone has put together HERE
    GM - Malazan
    Raid Leader - Hungry Wolves
    Legio Mortuum

From what I've gathered, skyrim IS indeed ruled by the septim empire or at least Solitude is, as King Pelagius of Solitude was crowned emperor Pelagius III in 3E 148.Im gonna presume that in those 50 years no one has actually rebelled or liberated Solitude or other Jarldoms(if they were taken in the first place)

Skyrim was part of the Empire ever since Tiber Septim, i.e. 3E 001. There still was a High King, of course.

Yes the power of the Moot!! When looking at the games/lore set in the future Skyrim was essential to the empire. I do not see how if a future elder scrolls is released Skyrim's holding out against the Thalmor can be overlooked. The books about it will make for good reading

Thank you, that finally makes sense now!
