Fire resistance question for vampire

So I'm running a dunmer NB vampire and with the new buff to vampire fire vulnerability (25%), how much fire resistance should I invest in? I understand that I have my fire resist racial passives, but they only give me a flat number when I look up on my character sheet. With all 3 tiers of that passive active, how many CP should I put into elemental resistance to negate most, if not all of the fire vulnerability associated with being a vampire? It's hard to do the math when I'm looking at a combination of flat numbers and percentages. Is there a hard cap on elemental resistance and if so, what should I be aiming for?

You get 7% fire resist as a Dark Elf so...

30 point's into elemental defender give's you 10% fire resist.

then one V14 legendary fire resist glyph is 10% (2183 Resist)

Thanks. So if I were to just max out my dunmer passives and get 18% fire resists from elemental defender (roughly 60 CP), that would be enough to negate being a vampire?

@Bloodgharm Yes for PC (25% with imperial city). No for Console (still 40% until imperial city drop's).

You gotta remember fighter's guild skill's still destroy you. Watch out for those still!

When im back home ill run a few tests.
Not sure that u can negate all of the fire dmg taken.

Are you Stamina or Magicka Build? If Magicka, use LA Shield and don't stack fireresist.

I'm magicka, but I'd rather not have to use up a slot on my bars with that shield. I don't have to negate all of the fire damage, just some of it.

In 1.7 it's going to be so easy to completely negate the fire dmg penalty ^ , hence why everyones going to run dawnbreaker
