The nirncrux market (post IC)

As a console player, I'm curious, how is the market reacting to IC in terms of the price of nirncrux and nirnhoned traits? Some people predicted prices would plummet, others predicted it would stay about the same or raise slightly. How did it actually go?

Prices are going down. That may not happen to the same extent on console as many many console players still need it for research.

Moral of the story: Zenimax fixed whatever was wrong with it that caused other players' armour to be effectively zero. Once people realized that it wasn't ridiculously OP/exploitable, they didn't want it anymore, thus the price dropping like a one-winged bird.

Plummet.

The bug is fixed and nirncrux drops from nodes in all of Craglorn, not just upper.

The farming grind has moved on to IC (if you bought the DLC) and malachite (which only has cosmetic value).

ZoS trashes the economy and forces you to move on.

Price is dropping fast from the way nirncrux works now. Also alot of people are getting them from writs. In three days I've gotten 8 just from the wood and blacksmithing nodes from the writs.

Wow, thanks for sharing your experience, do you know if they actually increased the drop rate or if you just got lucky?

The only one that is even remotely viable is the weapon, potent nirncrux. That has been going down with the addition of the set/jewelry items. Some players are opting for the weapon instead of nirncrux if it has the right trait on it. That allows for more builds to be used. But, people will still need it for research. Just remember, they did add the nirncrux in after launch so they will most likely at some point in time add yet another trait. At that time the people who did not bother to research nirn will scramble for the stones, but the market for them will be so flooded you can almost give them away/
