After experiencing this latest patch for the last several days I've found that I'm really enjoying the game again. No more instagibbing has actually allowed me to start using more skills on both bars. There is actually time to respond in fights and make tactical choices about what to use when and where.
Congrats on great patch and I'm looking forward to experiencing IC now that the gameplay is enjoyable again!
I respectfully disagree. First of all, loading screen time has quadrupled, at least. Second, minimap now causes the the FPS to drop in to single digits unless you uninstall it. Third, and by no means last, the change that does not allow stamina regen while blocking has made playing as a tank nigh impossible. Moreover, IC is really a group thing that is an odd mishmash of PVE and PVP that makes actually being able to complete quests there require grouping, which in turn means that actually reading the dialog and fully enjoying the quest is pretty much impossible.
I much preferred the game pre-IC, I hate to say.

Actually, completing the quests in IC doesn't require you to group up. I completed the main quest all by myself. Yes, there has been a few chapters where I get jumped on by gankers while questing but hey, it's the IC we're talking about (not that the gankers bother me as that is pretty much expected in an environment like IC and I deserved it for going solo). There are 5 factions waging battle against each other you know. The point is that it is not impossible to complete quests by yourself. You just have to employ the right approach and that approach is playing it safe. Don't overdo it and don't do it half-arsed. Find your balance and you will certainly enjoy the DLC.

Well congratulations, you're obviously a much better player than I am. Probably helps to play the most OP class in the game, and since you're already V16, you have the time to devote to it. Basically what IC seems to say to me is "Less than hardcore players are not welcomed here".

I started it at v14 and finished it fairly easily. And I'm a filthy casual with a goofy hybrid templar build. Sneak is your friend and if you see a zerg train, jump on it to get that quest done.

If you're already V16, in my book, you're not casual. 850,000 xp in 4 days is not done by a casual player.

You do realise that @ZOS made gaining EXP from VR14 to VR16 a breeze right? They've increased the EXP gain from kills and such. Read the patch notes, buddy. :>

Well I played roughly 10 hours and have 187,000 or so in to VR15. Most of that time was PvP in Cyrodiil and an attempt to do White Gold Tower. We couldn't kill the last boss. At least I think it was the last one.

Someone else way better than me. The thing is, at least when I was playing, no matter where you were, there was an enemy player with at least 3 friends who were all to happy to relieve you of the tel var stones you had collected. And I don't blame the players, but rather the design and overall concept. After about the 8th or 9th time, I just went back to Cyrodiil. You can't stay stealthed forever, especially when you're a magica tank with only small stamina reserve to begin with. Congrats to you and your build and skills for being able to do it. For me it was too frustrating to want to go back in alone. Went in as a group but never got a quest finished because all that group wanted to do was try to PvP, which was kind of fun, but still no quests were accomplished. I personally think it is a craptastic design and concept as a whole, from what I experienced of it.

The group dungeon is always good to gain EXP but you should make the main quest in IC as your main means of gaining substantial amounts of EXP. I'm more than sure that you can finish the quest if done by going solo. Like others said, sneak is your best friend. Utilise it well and you'll level up in no time. I assure you.
But Nord Magica Dragonknight Tanks find sneaking around to be the behavior of milk drinkers!
(In all seriousness, I'll give it a shot.)

Hey! Milk drinkers have strong bones you know.
I'm glad that you're giving it another shot. If you get stuck or anything, PM me and we can roll the quest together.

Only if you're DC. Otherwise, we'll have to try to kill one another.

I thought we may have had something there. Sigh, now I want you to come back just to taste the cold steel of my sword milk-drinker!

You named your sword "milk-drinker"? Funny name for a sword
